Must say I've never had any of those romantic notions about marriage and childbearing. The problem is that you've got a nice little fantasy going there, but in reality you've got a 50% shot of ending up like your uncle even if you do get married. I'm guessing you're under 30?

Well, i grew up in a very traditional close nit family....i don't consider it romantic..just my reality or how i perceive things to be normal.....i know it will really suck at times and the sex will get very old very quickly...all LTRs are this way...especially marriage...well unless you have oneitis i guess.... but i can take the good with the bad...as whoever i end up with will be my best friend as well like my current on and off again GF....and by that time sex won't be that big of a deal...kids and family stuff will be the focus...

I see old single men in the bars all the time carousing or trying to carouse and there is nothing more pathetic looking......i don't want to be one of those lonely sex addicted old guys when i get older...does that make me beta no...and my uncle subscribed to this single his whole life idea and is now almost 70 and is as miserable and lonely as can be.....yeah he travelled a lot for a long time and had a lot of fun but now he is just pathetic and consumed with negative energy and bitterness...in his late 40s he was debating about marrying a beautiful woman who he had dated for several years...he decided against it and basically dumped her...because he didn't want to be tied down.....and to this day he talks about her frequently...because it was the one woman he had met in his younger days that he actually cared about...

I grew up in a very close family and there is nothing more important than maintaining a close loving family for true happiness IMO.....when i am finally tired of banging new girl after new girl i will find someone who is a great person with a great heart and of course is very hot to settle down with and have kids with...why...because the idea of being a swinger/player my whole life is pretty pathetic and empty sounding...not to mention i want to teach my future kids kungfu..baseball...football....musical stuff...stuff like that...the whole nine yards...

Sorry but this is overall a very ignorant statement. The assumption that your uncle is miserable because he is single, is very misguided.

GUESS WHAT? There are just as many miserable married and divorced people. This idea that having a woman in your life is the ONLY road to happiness is a beta AFC faggot mindset. This kind of weak thinking gets men into trouble every day.

If you think you NEED a woman to be happy.. you are a faggot. Case closed.

@zinc4: Dude, you don't know his negativity comes from the loss of a woman 30 years ago. If I give your uncle 5 million dollars, you think he'll get married and FINALLY be happy? No. He'd have fun with it just like every fun-loving single 20 year old guy. Like PlayHerMan said, there are tons of unhappy married guys in this world. In fact, it's expected of you to turn up like that. "Ah, my wife!" and you just mumble to yourself.
