I'm sure you did gain 1.5lbs in 3 days, but I'd be surprised if even 10% of that was muscle. Your waterweight can fluctuate more than 1.5lbs in a single day, let alone 3.

Get it into your head guys, gaining muscle is a slow process!

Did you even think about this before you posted, I mean seriously, I mean even if you had absolutely no knowledge of weightlifting what-so-ever you should still know that this is so far from impossible its not even funny.

I mean lets do some simple math, lets take the low end of his number, 5-10 pounds, well take 5, no instead lets take 4 pounds in 2 weeks.

Hmm over the course of a year 4 pounds every 2 weeks would be 104 pounds of mucle a year. Thats funny, cause that means that if I followed whatever routine someone was going to give you, that I could be bigger than Ronnie Coleman, and win Mr. Olympia with ease.

Hell even 1 pound a week with beginner's gains is unfreaking believeable.

Why dont you go back and evaluate your motives, if you plan to lift until you reach your goal and then stop or slack off, then weightlifting and/or bodybuilding is not for you. Its a lifestyle, no matter how small or extreme your goals are its still a lifestyle.

I just can't stand when people come here and want a quick fix to something, and expect this stuff to be easy and then they quit after 2 weeks cause they dont have the determination or the motivation to keep it going.

Chil-ax...

I'll reach my goal. No worries. Perhaps not in two weeks but I'll get there.

Either you're taking gear or smoking crack.

Doing either of those? It's possible. If not, do some dieting and you'll look bigger.

5-10 lbs in 2 weeks?

Yeah. It's possible.

IF YOU LIVE IN FAIRY LAND.

Seriously now. Not even the pros can do that, and they train for a living.
What makes you think that a sloth like yourself can? Answer: you can't.

There is no quick fix. You may gain like a pound or two, but to get 10lbs is months of work. If you're willing to put the effort you shall reap the reward but you have to realize that it will take much time, effort and dedication.

If all of this sounds scary and gives you a knot in your stomach... then do us all a favor and stop wasting our time in the gym doing curls in the squat rack.

What people don't understand is just how much 10lbs of muscle is. Visually, it's a huge difference.. and you can't make huge differences in a small time.

Take ten 1lb steaks, and slap them all over your body. One over each pec, one over each arm, one each on your lats, one each on your upper back and one each on your thighs.

See how much extra meat that is? A helluva lot.

Take it month by month and see where you go. Keep adding weight to the bar, put in your time at the dinner plate and you will get where you want to be. You can make a difference in a short amount of time, lose a small amount of fat and gain a small amount of muscle and you'll look night and day different.

A solid 10lbs is achievable in three or four months though it depends on what stage of training you are. I couldn't do it for example, but someone new to lifting definitely could if their training and diet was good.
