Okay, so I watched 40-Year-Old-Virgin movie, and it was downright hilarious, AND sort of DJ related!
The bearded guy, I forgot what his name was, made a strong point. Most guys don't know HOW to talk to girls, and you can talk to them by focusing the convo on THEM.
The moment he mentioned that I thought, "DJ Style~ yeah, I know this stuff already "
So Andy (steve carrell) uses his advice and chats up this really hot blonde employee @ a bookstore. Using beareded's advice about asking women questions and have them talk about themselves, he takes it really literally. If you guys saw the movie, you'd understand my question, but for those of you that didn't:
Andy goes up to the hot blonde,
Blonde: "Can I help you with anything?"
Andy: "Can you help me with anything?"
Blonde: "Are you looking for a book or something?"
Andy: "Am I looking for a book?
and it goes on, and he literally returns the girl's statements into questions, and she begins to feel interested in him.
My question is: do you think that really works? If a girl says something non-IOI, non-interested things, can you really turn her neutral statements upside down and get her into you, or is this all Hollywood garbage?
