Hi folks, I think the mature man forum is excellent, however I'm not so sure that 25 years old can be considered 'mature'. Yes, we're all adults and living our own lives by the age of 25, but I think that 'mature' should be at least 35 or even 40 years old. At 25, you're just a young man with not a heap of life experience to be honest.

A guy of 25 posting here would not give much of a different perspective than a 22 year old, whereas a man of 35 or 40+ would.

Also, I see people complaining they are 'too old' or 'past it' at the age of 27 or 33 or 39 or whatever. This kind of thinking is absolutely ridiculous. A man's status actually improves with age. Older means more life experience. Older means potentially wiser. Older means more distinguished looks. Older means potentially you've moved closer to or fully achieved your dreams. Etc etc. So stop complaining about getting older (especially when you're only in your 30s for God's sake!). Start framing getting older as a positive thing, and you won't let it bother you again.

For the record, I'm still only 27, and will never let a number called 'age' affect my confidence or limit what I can do in life. I'll still be living my dreams when I'm 40, 50, 60, 70+ (if I live that long...).

Best wishes.

And there isn't much of a difference between a 25 y.o and a 27 y.o either.

I realise that I'm just a young guy and way inexperienced compared to the real mature DJs here. That's why I only make a post or two every now and then, never try to lecture anyone and refrain from giving advices. I'd rather sit back, read and learn for now.

I agree 100%

I think 25 is a decent cut off. By that age you are hopefully out of college and are into your career. Meeting women becomes different there are more things to life.

I think the actual number is arbitrary but it's easier then making people take a survey on their life experiences to post here.

There should be a high school forum, a college forum, a 20's forum, and a 30+ forum. Each of those are fairly distinct demographics. Mature man would be 30+. 30 is the real dividing line it feels like.

Hey thanks for that! I felt that exact way until I was 29 and 364 days. When the number hit 30 all of the sudden I felt 40. But I am immature. No doubt.

We also have AFC's who cater to her. IF she starts a thread we have guys give her advice. Look by her name she is one of the top rated posters on here. Its a fvcking joke to be quite honest.

The gnat survived because we let her eat sh1t. If every poster was like me that knat would have gotten squashed a long time ago. Don't feed her any more sh1t.
I have never given anyone a "rep" point, and I didn't even know what they were until someone mentioned awhile back that me and Rollo were the only two posters to have two bars (wow, those days are long gone, haha), so I don't put a whole lot of stock in it, but just the fact that someone could come on here and try to tear down much of what this site is all about and still get "props" says a lot for the kiss ass nature of the AFC mindset which continues to permeate every facet of some men's lives.

Whatever.

Are you crazy? They will never get rid of the gnat. They would get rid of you, karmaSutra, Latinoman, Interceptor,Guru, all these top posters before they get rid of her.

If you notice they are very patient with female posters on here. They actually cater to them. If that was me or you or any male on here we would have been BANNED A LONG TIME AGO.

We preach being DJ's here but that is the most AFC thing you can do. I would like to say great job to the mods and the person who runs this place.

Reps for saying everything I've been thinking.

You know what I'm going to try my best to not feed he gant any ****. The only real reason I do respond is because if you don't dispell the gnats personal atttacks every AFC jumps on the gnats flaming band wagon.

The irony of this thread is just ridiculous.

Here you guys are proclaiming your so-called maturity, then in the same breath you drag personal grievances (totally unprovoked at that) into this now-hijacked thread.

You are supposed to be ABOVE the behaviors that you scorn, but I guess that functions off the assumption that you are actually mature to begin with.

Moving things right along...

I think 25 is decent enough as a cutoff, though age is never really an accurate gauge of one's maturity. I know 60 year olds that never left their teen years. I also know some 16 year old sages.. it's all a matter of how you handle yourself and how well you LEARN.

I posted more on the subject here:

I feel ya keto, but I think a lot of so-called mature posters forget that flaming is a two-way affair. If people were not so defensive (or addicted to drama) then there would be no fuel for flamers.

My main point is simple - if something bothers you so much, then why participate in it to begin with? If you are so thoroughly annoyed by "attention wh0res", then why give them any attention at all?

I think 25 is a little young, my suggestion would be 30 onwards.

By the way I have to agree that the posts from Interceptor are absolutely brilliant, a real inspiration.

as far as posting age .. i will say one thing..

COLOSSUS...

this guy if i remember correctly isnt even 26 yet, but his posts are extremely mature and insightful..

the idea of MM forum is more than just posting about FR's and LR's or the best way to get her in bed. by 25 you should be looking for more than JUST women.

I consider 30+ mature for a Man (for women I would say 27+).

However, I agree with using 25 as the cutoff for purposes of this Forum. Here is why...

When men reach 25...they should start working very hard toward their future so when they reach their prime ages (35-42), they are prepared. And having them post in here should help them prepared.

Thanks for posting your opinion. I don't think this forum has it wrong at all, the discussions in Mature Man are fine.
