I'm 25 and I have no choice, but to live at home. I need to support my family...mostly my mom, who won't be able to live on her own. No money. I need to be here for at least 2-3 years. I worry about what effect this will have on me getting girls. Your thoughts.

I was living at home from ages 23-26. I met a girl at age 25 and dated her for 5 years. It's possible. Don't give up.

I suggest you stick yourself with a needle infected with HIV and then reconsider if living at home is really such a horrible problem to have.

hehe. not trying to be sarcastic, just trying to put things in perspective.

i mean, who cares if you are at home. you're not at home becuase you have no ambition and want to play Atari 64 all day.

don't beat yourself up over things you can't do anything about. accept them and be proud of yourself that you are moving forward with your life despite obstacles.

and anyone (including women) who knock you for that... .F*CK 'EM. If they knock you for something you can't do anything about, trust me, they aren't worth your time. If they are bad now, they'll be horrible if you marry them.

too many guys think unless they have all their sh*t perfectly together they can't get a good woman. Its the exact opposite, a good woman won't care about a temporary obstacle.

she will care about your levels of self confidence though... so you better get your head on straight and stop thinking you're situation is so dire.

Listen to YOUR heart ...

... what you're doing is admirable. If a woman sees that as not admirable, you don't want her. Listen to your heart, NOT the cold hearts of women.

Actually in this scenario you'll find the RIGHT woman, a woman who accepts you for you, not some bullsh-t.

Try not to listen to women too much ... they don't even know what THEY want, so there's no way they could know what's best for YOU.

Lived at home alot myself for many years. It never hurt me meeting women and the nice part was, I crashed at their place and never had to worry about kicking a girl out of my pad when they tried to stay there too long.

You have a valid reason for doing it and girls that don't understand aren't worth your time anyways.

But a tip. Always have them call your cellphone. I got tired of my parents *****ing about certain girls calling. I hated them knowing who i was dating.

I'm 26, Currently in school and had to move back in with my parents. I don't particularly like telling people I live with my parents but if they don't understand, fvck them.

School takes up 50-60 hours of my time, no time for real work. Campus dorms cost alot more and I'd rather limit my loans for school and save at the end.

In essence, the girl dates you not your parents - no problem!

In practicality one must always adapt to their environment - yours is such where adaptation includes

- as ricky said, space from parents. Own phone line in room and private areas to hang out
- more outside dates and at the woman's house
- YOU TO BE INDEPENDENT from your parents. Very easy for you to be babied. DO not allow that. This will affect your personality and stunt your growth at your age.

Mystery was living at home with his parents and pulled 9's and 10's, so, ya, who gives a **** that you live with your parents.

Don't make excuses, if it doesn't bother you it won't bother the girls. peace

First of all you gotta realise that:

Family, career and friends come first! Women will always be there.

If your mum needs help then devote as much time as possible to her, in saying this also make sure to have your personal life in check (school, work). Women can wait... Ive met many guys who asked for help with PU and some were in their late 20s, had everything going for them and needed a simple push to get succesful with women... one lifestyle course over the weekend made sure he was out and getting laid from that day!

When you have time go out and sarge, but always place girls second to your family! This is actually a good long term trend as women will notice how caring you are and this will only give you points!

If you're in this situation and are in school, see the big picture.

The horror with this is YOU ARE GOING TO GET NEXT'D. Women are cruel and incapable of seeingthe bigger picture, esp when searching for "Mr. Right Now".
- Just get your grades straight.
- Finish up quickly as ppossible.
- Also, realize that whoever hires you won't be throwing 50K to start you off. You might be making next nothing for a few months until your job becomes available. I knew dudes after they graduated working in Blockbuster video. Me, I waited tables at a dive restaurant.

If you living home and not in school but already have a job. I don't know your situation, but you guys are missing out on so much butt it's terrible. Nevertheless it's a HUGE responsiblity. I never realized keeping 580 sq ft. neat and clean could be so difficult. And yes you are throwing money away to a landlord at times, just to store your sh1t. You won't be able to buy Air Jordans. Timberlands. XBox 360. Cable TV. But it alot easier with a roommate. But living alone is so nice, most of the time.

If you want to step ya game up and not feel like you're going to get laughed at by some girl you meet in a bar. Move out. You start being a man because of the responsibility. No time for games or blowing money on broke chicks. And women will see you different and you'll feel better about yourself and your game because not many guys are able to be successful at handling their business.

I think that's really conciderate to help take care of your parent(s) especially after all they have done for you. It shows a girl you have set priorities and that you're not selfish.

I agree with everything you said here. I didn't move out until a week before my 26th birthday. I graduated at 25 and moved back home because I didn't get a job right off the bat. When I did get a job, then I had to pay off college debt. the good thing is that I was able to buy a condo instead of pay rent since I saved enough money.

Yeah chicks will blow you off, that's the reality but the big picture is a 100 times more important.

Good luck and again I congradulate for doing what few people do now a days...care for their family. Remember, women come and go, but your mother will always be your mother.

25 isnt that old to be living at home. Some women will knock you back cos you are 25 and still living at home but theyre not worth bothering about. The ones that like you will overlook this, or wont even be bothered anyway

The thing about it is you can meet a shorty who os living on her own and have an efficiency.

Therein lies the situation, is she cakin or strugglin?

If you plan on sticking this chick, then more than likely you'll be doing it at her spot.

If so, prepare to hear a whole bunch of lip service.

Then there's always a chick who does have stuff together but it's like finding a diamond on the sidewalk...just too good to be true.
She may not give you the business, but then again she may not look that good.

Just tough it out and hold yer head. In a few years things will be different. Besides there are girls out here willing to kick it with you, without sweating you for an apartment.
