What works for one person won't work for another. Combination of lots of things: genetics, diet, athletic history. From what I read, I'd recommend more rest in between workouts.
That's pretty much exactly the answer I was looking for. Thanks a lot for your reply. I guess I did just have a "strength spurt" then, if you want to call it that. I'm currently up to 220 twice.
