Been here as Luke Skywalker between 2006-2009, then as corrector since 2009. Took a few breaks posting in 2012-2016 and had most romantic experiences (2012-2014). Ironically one of the threads made by Luke Skywaker intended to find a gf before December 12, 2012. As a twist of fate that was actually fulfilled even though the world did not end that year.

You essentially upped your VALUE in her eyes by showing her that, if she wants you, she has to at times do things that you like to do. You are SOMETHING after all. You are NOT FREE. If she wants to hang with you, it's going to cost her something — time, effort, money.

2005 representin' here. Just turned 40. Was in my mid-20s and striking out left and right when I found this place. The last 15-16 years have been a total transformation from my previous 25 p*ssy-repelling years on this Earth.

What is funny is that with all the 'changes' these guys talk about (OLD, all these apps, social media, etc.), the game is still the exact same. Doc Love's advice, from 20 years ago, still rings true.

Except for when he would talk about certain technologies, like home phones.

Heh. I still remember all the old threads about how you should never text a girl, and only call her on the phone.

I read Doc Love articles when I was in college in the early 2000s. Texting wasn't really a thing back then. There were home phones and cell phones but the cell phones were used primarily for on the go phone calls. Doc was emphasizing home phones then. I didn't remember texting getting big until 2005 or 2006. The first iPhone hit the market in 2007. Before the iPhone, it was possible to date without using text messaging. After the release of the iPhone and the major popularity of the Blackberry (from 2007-09, the Blackberry was bigger), doing the early stages of dating without texting became nearly impossible.

The basics are still the same, whether it's a home phone or a raise to voice text or whatever. You still have to think. His point was to call the girl when they would likely be at home and not focused on other stuff. You want her full attention. No doubt that it's gotten tougher nowadays to do that, since most are buried in their phone all day anyway.

Good luck calling a girl you didnt bang yet and expect her to pick up and give you her full attention in 2021...even more to schedule a date 3 days in advance.

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.
