2 months into LTR and this happens

it was yesterday about 545 pm...I got a text from her....I was expsecting one..she got off work about 4 ussually but had to work late..it was nearly 99 degrees here in stl with humidity that kills.

anyways I always look forward to these texts..I mean after going all day and not talking to the one you love...u miss her.

I got this text and I thought I was with the love of my life and she breaks this text on me.

"aw, sorry ur sick, but I was so happy to C the 1 true love of my life last night. I want to drive 2 C U 2nite but mom has me on house arrest, till i get better. so call me my prince, I love you."



alright so I exagerated about a bad story..anyways she is sick..think she has mono and thinks she got it from me..I believe I am carrier of it...I got blood tested today with no results yet.

anyways the point of the text is...Id like to thank sosuave for helping me understand confident man/sensative lover.

now its on to the LTR part...we have the love needed for this..now its time to see if this is real or not or will last or not.

the excitement is fading but the love is growing..Ive never expierenced something of this matter in my life..and its wonderful and I wanted to share it with you all..and for all the guys hoping love really exists it does...what a women can give you is probably the best you will get throughout your lifes.

Hey man congrats on your LTR.

Enjoy it, but be VERY careful and not stop doing the things that got you there in the first place.

Keep your skills up by talking to other girls and keep some other options nearby, this will keep u from being needy.

Also stay close to guy friends and don't put your feelings into it to much, the last thing you want is a nasty case of oneitis.

I'm just saying this because someone pretty much told me the same thing when i was on cloud 9 because my LTR but of course i didn't listen and eventually got burned...

I have been around the block a thousand times..with many diff women..this is my 3rd LTR...i was coming here to say how SOsuave has helped me finally put the pieces together to make this work.

also I realize that 18 to 22 yr olds arent for the most part the best group to be with.

she is 21 and I am 22....and I know what to look for..the "red flags".....I have 9 yrs of real life expiernce...but thats ok no one wants to listen anyways.....but then im right in the end...

Friv, he's not trying to put you down, he's trying to give you a bit of worldly experience. Young girls are more likely to pull that kind of crap, plain and simple. If you want to get into a LTR with her, fine, just don't put all of your emotional eggs into one basket, if you get my drift. Always know it could end any time. Enjoy the sex with a young, tight, hotty, but don't get any delusions of grandeur, ie: marriage or anything like that.

Trust me, you'll look back in a few years and realize how pointless it was looking for serious relationships with these young girls.

Ive come to realize there is no point in talking of my LTR on here...considering there are millions of women out there and we all come from diff lives, communities, towns, cities, counties, states, and countries.

But the words of warning are still justified (regardless of age) in the sense that life is a cycle, relationships are born and die all the time. Two months is extremely early days. I believe people can hide personality defects for anything up to 4-5 months before cracks show. So enjoy it, embrace it, but understand that you may be feeling all these things all over again next year with a different chick. And then it will seem better. One day you'll meet someone you truly click with.

But maybe, just maybe you've already found her.

Still, I advise you to be careful. 2 months is not very long into a relationship, and be aware that EXCITEMENT remains a very strong factor into the relationship for as long as 1 1/2 years (According to an article in Scientific American, the called it INFATUATION).

I'm not looking to burst your bubble, but don't let your guard down, and don't be lazy. MAINTAIN SELF-CONTROL. Make sure you remain the male and CONTINUE TO TAKE THE LEAD.

I'm not the nicest guy around when it comes to girls who give me sh**, and some other members have given me crap for it. I don't mind, if you ask for advice, you have to take the bad with the good sometimes.
