Got all my papers in order (salary, work history, health ins,)

I've even got letters from friends who are offering babysitting services.

I'm sure it will go in front of a mediator, aka third party, and it will be broken down to a schedule that we both, hopefully, can agree upon.

It would be nice if I got my son for more than everyother weekend, and Wednesdays. Hopefully, my child support will be dropped a lil more too.
She makes twice as much as I do a year, and I still shell out $560 a month. wtf?

please update us as soon as that hearing is over with .
i can not imagine why a judge would not give you 50-50 at this point.
your son is no longer a baby/toddler, and he needs equal time with both parents. any court that sees a father fight to get shared custody and that can actually provide what is needed, who has stayed out of trouble, should have no beef with that.
once they say it is 50/50 i am pretty sure that support amount will go down also.

no one can guarantee what the judge/mediator will say but i just can't see them saying no unless they have due reason.

Anybody who has followed me on this knows what I've had to go thru... with his mom, my dealings with the daycare, with my visitation being withheld from me (tis the reason I filed)... anybody who knows me, knows I love my son.

I am a good father, striving to be the best. I haven't so much as a driving ticket (2004) on my record. I work 12hrs a day 7 days a week on average to make sure my family is taken care of.

Everything I do, I do for my son. Like I said... before I'm a lover, a playa, a friend, I'm a father.. first and foremost. All my energy, with every fiber of my being, all day, every day, is spent making sure my son is loved, and well taken care of. Nothing else matters.... my purpose in life right now, is raise my son to be the best he can be.

But to do that, I need more time with him than what I'm allowed now. I hope and pray that by tomorrow, that will change. Even if I just get one more day than what I have now, I will be happy. I don't care if they don't reduce my child support, and I'll straight up tell them that. If I'm allowed to sign his report card, help decide where he goes to school, I'm totally cool with that.

He told me today, he wanted to come to court with me.......... it made me smile.

I told him he couldn't, but I would be by to pick him up as soon as it was over.
