    Cigars 101

So I smoked my first cigar about three weeks ago. It was a Baccarat, recommended to me by the store clerk at a cigar shop. It was very mild, almost tasteless, like sucking air, but what I did taste was a kind of oatsy/wet dog taste. I didn't like it that much. So I'm going to try another...

    Man Vs. Monkey!!

Man, I just lost a whole post responding to this so I think it's time to go to bed after this. I'll give the cliff notes. -Don't appreciate patronizing and blatant insults to intelligence, resulting in responding disrespectfully -Will respond respectfully from now on if no insults -I...

    Man Vs. Monkey!!

Wrong. Mutations, or errors in DNA replication, are almost always disadvantageous to the survival of the host. DNA has mutation repair in it, the mutations that get by are not "advantageous," they simply get by. Fvcking sh!t. I know about examples like this. But once again, this is not...

    Man Vs. Monkey!!

What I mean is that the changes which have been observed have been within certain limitations. Take for example the bacteria, it has technically changed when there is a stronger resistant strain now instead of the weaker strain, but it did not gain anything which it did not already have. There...

    Man Vs. Monkey!!

No sh!t DNA replication makes mistakes, but that doesn't prove macroevolution because it isn't advantageous. Macroevolution is just conjecture at this point in time. I know the rationale behind the theory of evolution. But that doesn't prove it's true. There's lots of stuff that has had...

    Man Vs. Monkey!!

I know that. What I meant is that there are only so many changes that can occur and every example that I have ever seen has been an example of data being lost, the moth losing one of it's colors. To get something new there needs to be mutation. However, the overwhelming majority of mutations...

    Man Vs. Monkey!!

It's the wrong kind of changing though. It's changing within an already established DNA code (which is what I meant by bacteria changing into bacteria i.e. it's changing alright but it's not changing into something new). I'm not saying that we evolved from chimps either or any other...

    Man Vs. Monkey!!

That is not macroevolution. That is bacteria changing into bacteria. What usually happens is that the stronger form of bacteria is left to survive and in turn make a superstrain of bacteria. But still bacteria. Nothing is being added that changes the fact that it is still bacteria...

    Man Vs. Monkey!!

Evolution is NOT a FACT. It is NOT A FACT. I had a physics teacher that was talking about this a couple years back that Biologists and Chemists like to say that it is a fact but that in no ways whatsoever is it a fact (I will also qualify his statement by adding that he is an atheist and found...

Girl in Acting class speaks fluent Chinese!...

Here's the problem I have with that though. What kind of a work place? At a restaurant, business company, construction, university the lingo is all going to differ. If you go into a new type of work there's going to be specific lingo that native speakers won't necessarily know at first. I...

Girl in Acting class speaks fluent Chinese!...

I think people have too high of expectations for what they consider fluent in a different language. It's almost as if they are only fluent when they are better at the foreign language than their native language. People always say it's a lifelong process. Bullsh.t. Think about it, there's...

    Cigars 101

Ok, so I've skimmed through parts of this and haven't seen this addressed. The only time I've tried smoking a cigar was a couple months back and I knew that you aren't supposed to inhale so I was trying like mad to suck in but not inhale and I couldn't do anything. Finally, I take a puff and...

Beauty in the eye of the beholder is only partially true!

LOL, I didn't know what you were talking about at first and then I clicked on the link. No I wouldn't have sex with the old lady, I was talking about Alessandro ambrosio.

Beauty in the eye of the beholder is only partially true!

Yes I would, she's not super mannish looking, only mildly, and definitely not as much as others, but for one she's famous, and two, I don't have to stare at her face. I don't find her ugly but there's nothing that really appeals to me about her either. She reminds me of a girl in one of my...

Beauty in the eye of the beholder is only partially true!

Finally, someone else that doesn't find the female models, that are picked by gay fashion designers, with the boyish figures and mannish cheekbones and jawlines attractive. I wish the people in charge would actually start picking women with the low, rounded feminine cheekbones and softer...

There are three kinds of people in this world(READ THIS!!!)

This is entirely incorrect. As long as you've got enough money to live comfortably, more money doesn't mean anything. It's your relationships with your friends and family that makes you happier and a winner. You think I give a sh.t if somebody I don't know thinks I'm a "winner" or not...

I want to get really good at photography...

So if anyone could offer tips, sites, etc. that would be awesome. I see images in my head a lot but my problem is that I can't get what I see onto something concrete. I would actually prefer to be good at painting but that will probably never happen to the degree that I would want. I want to...

    If you could be trilingual....

Ni3 hui4 shuo1 yi4 dian3 han4 yu3? Xian4 zai4 quan2 qiu2 xing1 qi3 xue2 zhong1 wen2 de feng1 chao2 ne. I don't quite understand the second sentence though. Something about the whole world rising to the campaign for studying Chinese is my guess. The xue zhongwen de feng chao sounds weird...

    If you could be trilingual....

Right now I'm learning mandarin and korean. With mandarin, I can get by if I had to, after a year of studying and I just started learning korean a couple months ago. After I have a sufficient competency in the two, I'm going to learn Spanish and then Greek afterwards.
