I'm naturally introverted and have noticed something about myself recently. Nearly all of my friends are extroverts and good conversationalists. When I meet new people, I will be kind of quiet and passive after a little while, and it's not even something I really give much thought, but it...
@BillyPilgrim that article is gold. Lately I've noticed that more attractive women seem to give me nicer rejections than the less attractive ones, and now I know why. FTA:
Marriage is a compromise that prevents top ~5% men from taking all of the women, which is the natural order of the animal kingdom. Without it, lesser males have no incentive to produce anything more than what they need to survive.
@bob2007 you could try texting them a few days before the event and say something like, "Hey, just checking in. I wanted to make sure you are going, or if I need to invite someone else?"
So another thing I thought of is that by having been going there for a year, they know that I've been on the market for at least a year, which women think is a long time. This doesn't look good either.

I've noticed that they seem a lot more timid and afraid of older people. When I was an intern, I used to talk to more experienced workers and ask them questions. The ones we have now seem afraid to talk to me.

One thing that seems to have changed lately is that even 4s - 6s now act like 8s and 9s, maybe even worse. If a 5 is going to treat me badly, why bother?
Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones. I work for a good company and make good money working from home.
I didn't start this way though, I started in desktop support working in the office. There are plenty of non-WFH sysadmin jobs too.
@Jesse Pinkman I learned a lot from doing approaches. It's like learning to play Golf. You get better the more you practice, but for best results, you need to get lessons, or you'll keep practicing the wrong way.
