This is not a question like what I will do now when I am 17. I have already made my life decision.

I am a 5th year student in medical school. I live in a family home, although I am not very well off financially, I have a comfortable life etc. etc. I will skip the details, I am a classic normal person.
But I don't know what to do.

I want to spend time on my hobbies, I want to spend time on lessons, I want to spend time on things that will improve me etc. But unfortunately, not everything can be done at the same time.
For Example I want to combine AI and Medical but At this point, I am saying that I will start, is this what I want to dedicate my whole life to?
What if it doesn't happen, what if I can't succeed, then my life will have been wasted. So what I mean here is that when I am 60 years old, I don't want to be one of those people who have gone crazy working between 4 walls while other people live beautiful lives. I don't want to have that much money, I can't go abroad, but I want to take short vacations.
On the other hand, I want to improve myself.
On the one hand, I have a passion for music. Even if no one listens, I say something and post it on YouTube (It would be nice if it did, but even if no one watches, it's something I like)
I also want to learn a musical instrument.

Then I have 20 things I want to do, but I can't go anywhere because I can't break away from any of them. Is there anyone who has experienced this?
What can you suggest?

As for the schitzo batch of questions bunched up in this OP, you need to listen to your own advice. There's so many "what ifs" & "I want to" that the only way to get a grip is to realize your few priorities and focus on those.
I'm no therapist but from what I read in your postings it might help you sort things.

But I am a musician and I can at least give you some sage advice there.
Decide on what instrument you want to learn to play, go down to the nearest music instrument store and try out some, see what fits you. (drums, guitar, keyboards, etc) Your mind & body will tell you what will be a fit for you.

I always tell my guitar students to find one that feels comfortable to you, that you will enjoy picking up and strumming every chance you get. That way you will play it more and advance playing more rapidly.
If it doesn't feel good in your hands, you won't pick it up often, and it will end up in your closet collecting dust.

As for actually learning to play, teach yourself. There's tons of books and video lessons online that can get you started.

You're pretty young to be having that problem - realizing that you can't do everything and you have to pick and choose what interests you want to spend your time on. I was in my 40s before I reached that point in my life. But being at your age is a busy time, for sure. I had to make some sacrifices to meet my goals, my career was the main focus. Once you get that handled, it gives you a strong foundation to work from.

Being in medicine is a rewarding but pretty time demanding field though.

I feel the same way. If you write the thing down on chat-gpt, it can give you a nice timetable, with even reward breaks between tasks. Completely customizable. The past couple of days I've been using it, I feel I'm getting more control into how I'm using my time and getting more things done.

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

I already have a keyboard.. Also I'm writing and singing. I know using FL Studio. I just wanna learn theory and make better things.
But as I say It's just a hobby.
Because of this thoughts I can't do anything with my life.
I stars to watch something like a film. My brain starts to think like "You're wasting time, go make something useful..." and I can't have fun from anything.
As I say I already have a keyboard. But when it comes to learning theory, playing something... It take too much time. If I try to learn a new language(I wanna learn Spanish) it takes to much time...
And I do nothing..

There are actually many topics. I know English to a certain level and I need to learn better. But on the other hand, I want to learn Spanish. Because? Because I just love it.
I try to make music because I love it (It takes me hours)
The issue I can't figure out here is the balance between hobby and work. I should do some things for my job but I don't like them, and some things are my hobbies. I wish my hobbies and work were the same :D

I'm a little younger than you but I feel the same way sometimes. Your feelings are completely valid, so many people in our age group can relate. There are so many options for what the future holds and I fear I'll choose the wrong career path, or just the wrong life path in general. Will I regret not partying and spending time at 20 as a homebody, mainly hanging out with my friends and bf? Or if I try to have more fun will I regret that path too? Will I regret taking a hard career path, or just settling down early?

I don't know, I think I've start to come to terms with trying to appreciate the current moment. I look at myself last year and think to myself why didn't I just relax more, there was no rush, I had plenty of time. So I assume I'll have the same thought process in a couple of years. We are already living in the "good old days" right now, according to a future version of us, if you really think about it. :) You know? Just try to enjoy life man, find gratitude in the little things.

make sure your taking best care of your body. strength and endurance training of some kind. if you don't already have a combat skill, try to fit that in (ha ha, one more task...). this will force more interactions and help to feed the inner wolf.

your almost finished with med school ? your life will change after that is done. for now your priority is to finish that.

if there is any school break, try to take a get away type vacation and party/have fun for few days/weeks.

Re-think your life decision. Spending more time on hobbies and med school/going into the practice of medicine itself are less compatible than rural Sierra Leone and cl-t--ises which haven't been carved up or out completely

Make a schedule and make time for them

No it won't, you'll have a degree that can make you money, then use that money to do what you love on the side.

while other people live beautiful lives
Where do you see those "beautiful lives"? On facebook? Instagram? They post ravish dinners and awesome vacations pictures around the world with quotes like "We travel not to escape life, but to life not to escape us"? Yeah bro, those people indeed have beautiful lives, I got a bridge to sell you and its 50% discount, do you want it?

Don’t spend all your time studying. Enjoy the social side of things.
I also live with my family. When my friends are partying, I feel like I stay at home. But it's not so much living in a family home as it is because I don't know this life. I was working when everyone was partying. Now I don't know how I can get into that environment. I like home but sometimes everyone needs that maybe Idk.

Yeah but there are realities in this life. I live in Turkey. And approximately %40 of people works for the 620$ for a month. And an average 2024 model used BMW is 90.000$
So I have to do something.

I will be a doctor man. There are 36 hours shifts. So in this life we really don't have enough times. I don't know how these things works in your country but here some emergency doctors examine 1000 patients a day. I know it's ridiculous but these are the facts.
Yes, I may be exaggerating a bit sometimes. Making music may not be a serious business and may remain a hobby.
But there are some points here that I cannot resolve within myself.
Should I work on things that will remain a hobby? Or should I just focus on my job?
I am not a robot but I need to make money...

by the way, as I wrote above. I used to work when everyone was partying. Now I can't go to those places. I don't know how to go. There isn't even a single bar or club in my city.
I went there once before and honestly I didn't enjoy it.
I don't have a social environment in general. I have a few friends at school. Apart from that I have a few friends in sports but it is more productive when I do individual training.

Hi Nellysses,
@New-Journey is right,"No it won't, you'll have a degree that can make you money, then use that money to do what you love on the side."

Don't always be the one putting yourself out for her. Don't always be the one putting all the effort and work into the relationship. Let her, and expect her, to treat you as well as you treat her, and to improve the quality of your life.

I presume no one is holding a loaded M-16 to your head, and forcing you to remain in Turkey, under pain of death. You have the option of relocating to some corner of the globe where lucrative employment is more plentiful, even if doing so might initially be difficult

At the risk of asking a rhetorical question, Nel: Do you really have a burning desire to be a healer, or are you going into medicine mostly for the money, or/and due to family pressure? It really sounds like you'd prefer to be doing something else in life
