The younger generation has it too easy. They need to get on with life at 18 and either go to college, military, trade school or start a career. I know several plumbers and electricians who’ve started after high school, became an apprentice, and in a few years broke out on their own. They all make six figures.

Just my opinion.

A lot of those younger generation people did go to college at 18. They ended up graduating college without a job and student loans to repay.

I learned about Italian culture via a couple of Italian friends andsicilian friends from New York along with of course the reality TV show The Jersey shore seem to be pretty accurate portrayal of Italian Americans and Sicilian Americans living here and abroad!

This happens to lots of folks, male and female alike. The problem which vexes our civilization today is that so many in The Post-Industrial West have little to no motivation to lift themselves up after they've fallen down, then regain their independence. I don't say this to be critical of anyone else: I've "been there" before, and I'm well aware of how tough it is to begin bringing yourself back from the brink

Sadly, this mostly a cultural and social ill... There's very little the government can do to remedy such a thing

Men frequently err by talking too much. They often monopolize conversations, droning on and on about topics that bore women to tears. They think they're impressing the women when, in reality, they're depressing the women.

I simply believe there are no incentives to leave home and live by yourself or with your girlfriend for most guys there.

Also keep in mind that the "passport bro" thing was common among italians decades before it became even mentioned in the rest of the western countries...you can guess by yourself how pleasant local women are.

Also the economy there is crap, you basically as a young man find yourself asked to wash the toilets for a few quids with no chance of growth or future career.

A young man leaves his parents house when the cons of working hard and leaving the comforts are balanced from monetary gains and personal satisfaction and most of all a plan for the future.

This is not uncommon in Europe where kids stay living with their parents for longer than they typically do in the US and it's viewed as not only acceptable but in many cases preferable since they have right knit family groups.

This is a cultural norm in Europe. It is not a cultural norm in the US and is viewed very differently here.

Trying to make comparisons between the two are futile for this reason. In Europe it's normal and not viewed as any sort of issue while dating. In the US, you are much more likely to viewed as a loser and undesirable in the dating market due to this.

My father is from Europe and he always tells me how he views Americans as cold in their interactions towards their family most times and how it's different there.
Only males in the US face this stigma. If an adult female lives at home with a parent/parents, it has almost no impact upon her desirability in the dating market.
I am sorry but this simply isn't true. You guys in the States have this romanticized idea that Europe is so much better than the States. It ain't.

Europe is quite big and diverse but generally speaking most of Europe is similar to the States. The stigma is the same here.

In southern European countries and further down to North Africa it might be a thing. But that dynamic is also messed up because people are not as eager to marry anymore. So dudes stay at home untill their 40s ,oftentimes missing the opportunity to even get married.

Women are women. There's a reason why Italy has one of the lowest birthrates ever. Life ain't like in those pasta commercials. Every woman individually wants a " real man" .

Without a doubt, there’s a ‘loser’ out there, happily living in his parents’ basement.

Knows a few spiritual esoteric knowledge about God, plays acoustic guitar, meditate, chants God’s holy names, smokes weed maybe a few times a week, known as the guy who does Yoga in his gym before lifting weights and doing cardio and has badass bbq dinner sessions with his other ‘loser’ friends a couple of times a week……

Who dates and have relationships with multiple women….lol haha
