Do you think castrated males live longer because they don't have the stress of dealing with trying to find a female to mate with?

Any article that opens with "A new study shows..." is to be regarded with more suspicion than a stand-up comic who swears:

"I'm doing this just to make people laugh and bring joy to the world: Regularly being the center of attention doesn't comprise at least 50% of my motivation"

Hi MDJ,
You pose an interesting question....In the absence of Pierce might I suggest that the increased longevity might also be due to decreased testosterone levels possibly decreasing the risks of Cancer?....Being in a steady relationship also reduces Testosterone significantly and improves longevity another causal link?

Its something chemical in the body. Its already been proven that castrated animals live longer than non-castrated. Scientists are trying to understand why that is. They believe there is a definite link between male hormones(testosterone) and aging. Castrated male DNA is more similar to female DNA. Its likely that when you slow down the production of testosterone, you slow down aging.

The older you get the less testosterone you produce.

So, the older you get, the longer you'll live?

I'd argue the reason is chemical and hormonal rather than worrying about getting women.

@MatureDJ Are you thinking of cutting off your nuts?
