Does Nofap mean no masturbation urge or just enduring it?

Nofap means zero exposure to sexual imagery and zero masturbation, period. The only thing that pumps your penis back and forth is a woman's holes or hands.

Imagine a bearded viking with his battle axe, shield, heavy plate armor, in the cold winter on the frontlines of battle ready to either kill or be killed. Can you imagine this guy sitting there beating his meat because he doesn't have a woman?

Semen retention is very real not just for the psychological benefits, but the physical. I've experienced it and it's not placebo.

You know, a better solution to nofap is learning how to talk to girls so they can solve that problem for you...

I hate how many people jump on nofap like it's gonna make them super focused and improve how they are with women...really it's more likely to end in a wet dream and ruined sheets for you since you're not getting any release.
Nofap doesn't give you tangible skills to become better with women. Let me explain..

When you masturbate to porn, your brain thinks you are actually having sex. It's a simulation, but your brain doesn't know the difference. With porn, men can easily see more variety of naked women in one hour than a man without internet sees in his entire life. That is a MASSIVE dopamine spike. Your brain wasn't designed to handle that.

So what happens? Well first, your brain becomes desensitized and requires harder and harder porn to satisfy you. Not only that but normal things in life like going for a walk, watching the sunset, having a pleasant conversation, these things do nothing for you.

Second, you start to view women as purely sexual objects. If you're masturbating multiple times a day and see a hot woman in real life, your gut feeling will be to sexualize her and not even see her as a person. This creates a feeling of guilt, or shame, and also makes it so that you worship these women. Which makes sense, because you are furiously masturbating to them. This is precisely why people who masturbate and get caught checking out a beautiful woman in public quickly look away because they feel guilt/shame, likely because they are thinking of what she's like sexually. People who do not fap generally do not look away because they do not feel this guilt/shame; their mind is pure, and they are merely admiring a woman's beauty.

Third, once you release your seed, your body thinks you have procreated (it releases prolactin) and this makes you tired and unwilling to actually chase women in real life. It makes you passive. The body thinks it has accomplished it's mission. This is why you are tired, have no aggression, and feel lazy after beating off. It also makes you feel weak, like you don't want to fight. Why would you? You've already served your life's purpose.

Lastly, retention gives you presence. It increases your feeling of self worth because you know deep down that you are leading a pure life without lust/degeneracy. You are living a productive life as a member of society. For this reason, you feel grounded when talking to others, as if what you say has value. You don't tolerate disrespect and feel no reason allow yourself to be diminished or glossed over because you feel that you have value to bring. Women pick up on this.

Now, how does nofap help with women? You retain your seed. Your entire life purpose is to procreate. Your body, when it retains its seed, gives you energy to live life. To accomplish things, to be aggressive, to chase after goals, to see women in a pure light, to genuinely connect with others. It gives you an inner sense of belonging. This is largely because your dopamine sensitivity is normal, and not reduced by porn. Normal things give you happiness like connecting with human beings, going for a walk, doing mundane chores, reading books, etc.

On a deeper level, it removes the feeling of guilt. When you see a beautiful woman, your default response is to be social, to look her in the eyes, to not be afraid of her, because your goal is not to immediately have sex with her, instead your goal is to genuinely connect. As human beings, this is what we are designed to do. The lack of porn usage and masturbation gives us a sharper mind, gives us a deeper voice, more wit, better body language, deeper eye contact, all signals of a man with high testosterone and life force, and increases our chances of doing the right thing in order to procreate.

As masturbators? We see a beautiful woman, wish we could pull out our penis on the spot, and expect her to start sucking it until she opens her mouth with a smile just waiting for us to paint her face. Not realistic.

The buildup of your masculine essence will eventually cause your subconscious to put in a request for a sexy dream one night, and then some hot, young, naked chick will appear in the dream, and your bedsheets will receive your essence. It happened to Henry VIII with wife #4 (Anna von Kleve):
"Surely, my lord, I liked her before not well, but now I like her much worse! She is nothing fair, and have very evil smells about her. I took her to be no maid by reason of the closeness of her breasts and other tokens, which, when I felt them, strake me so to the heart, that I had neither will nor courage to prove the rest. I can have none appetite for displeasant airs. I have left her as good a maid and I found her."

Yes. This is an important definition.

The only thing that pumps your penis back and forth is a woman's holes or hands.
Having actual sex while practicing nofap is good.

I disagree with the goal part that I bolded. I think many practitioners of nofap want to have sex. While a deeper connection on a level besides physical is good, there are people who nofap who are seeking to get laid.

In my own practice of nofap, I find that regular sex makes the nofap practice easier.

Nofap has been one of the more challenging things I've done in my life.

This means you have a problem.

It's like complaining that quitting cigarettes is a problem. There are people like me out there that never had an addiction to cigarettes in the first place, so there is no challenge at all because I never got addicted to them in the first place.

That's how you need to be with porn/masturbation, it's not a natural thing. Should be effortless to quit it. It being a challenge means you aren't living a balanced life, because the real cause of porn addiction isn't porn itself, but the absence of something else.

Porn is not like cigarettes. Cigarettes actually damage the lungs. Porn is simply an innovation of technology. And it's the next best thing for men until brothels become legal again. Porn helps keeps women in check knowing that men still has standards when it comes to women.

I tire of men continuously being the ones who have a problem using something, and yet everyone else in the world gets to consume their own entertainment with no backlash. Lord forbid men get to have something.

Porn is not the problem. A low will man will fall to any vice. Nofap doesn't solve his problems.

In my experience, going without porn and masturbation became easier over time. I feel less of a desire to do it. If I am getting laid regularly, there's absolutely no desire. It's long periods without sex that are more challenging. I have managed to keep my nofap and no porn practice going. Over time, I did notice less of a desire for porn and masturbation.

I'm the opposite of you. I have sex but also don't mind fapping. However, I don't watch porn like a maniac. It's just something for the times when I need the release. And sometimes I rather do it than go in the process of courting a woman or going through the hoops of her emotions while staying with her. Also the stuff I consume is more for my artistic taste, so I'm admiring it for both its aesthetics, story, and sexual content. I don't watch stuff like pornhub and such. And I tend to like more amateur content when I do watch real people porn [waiting for someone to pick up on what I actually watch as porn], as I feel the cinema stuff destroys the real emotions behind it.

when I need the release.
Men need sexual release in general. My sexual releases happen in sex and wet dreams. I understand the feeling of needing a release.

Nofap and no porn can help in the short term with being more aggressive on approaches. There can be more motivation to do approaches. Over time, the initial spike in motivation to do approaches does subside even when a nofap and no porn practice continues.

Nofap and no porn are good practices but they alone won't help with attracting more women.

The best life practice for attracting more women and getting more women to want to have sex is getting very physically fit and having a physique that turns them on. It can be difficult to get to that fitness level. It requires a lot of time spent lifting weights and possibly being involved in 1 or more sports on a recreational basis.

As you've mentioned in another post, you have a good incel to slayer story. As others would agree, the key change was looksmaxxing and gymmaxxing.

You are talking about softcore porn and non-nude photography? (ie reference to naked women)

Having a pleasant conversation, especially with a hot woman, is a different type of pleasure that's very impactful. Just like hugging a nice woman. Whatever you make this thing to be, it can not substitute for human to human connection with a real woman and the brain knows this too.

It could also be caused by social anxiety. As mentioned in other threads about "scarcity mindset", and your own experience being invisible to women in the past and a former incel, can you really put the blame on that? I mean if women are treating you like you are invisible and are not respecting you because you are not attractive to them (ie and you are not conventionally attractive), then naturally you are going to want to turn away to avoid a non-verbal rejection? This toxic shame is caused by feminsim and women behaving entitled, not by porn.

For example, lets say you went into a brothel. Would you feel ashamed or guilty if you looked at a lady working in a brothel? Probably not. Why? Because she's not going to non-verbally reject you. Therefore it's fear of rejection all along.

When you were an incel and invisible to women, were you motivated to chase women or was this after gymmaxxing/looksmaxxing?

I'm sorry, I find it difficult to buy the whole argument because you went to the Gym, improved yourself there, and that is what made the difference with you. This is what others have also done as well.

Becoming better looking did nothing for my ability/desire for women, beyond them giving obvious signs and making it easy to escalate. I was the same guy, just better looking. Nofap is the only thing that was able to change me on the inside.

I fapped 3-4x a day for years, over a decade, so for me the difference was obvious. For others who claim to be addicted fapping simply once a day or a few times a week, it will not be much different quitting.

To clarify your position. You went from invisible to "celebrity status" with women, and that did NOTHING for your ability/desire for women?

I don't fap myself lately these days because I'm 48 years old, and I'm not fapping for religious reasons, so I'm not looking for a justification or trying to defend that. If it works for you that's great. If you told me it helped motivate you to gymmaxx and gave you extra motivation to lift heavier weights, I'd understand that too. But to say you have "celebrity status" with women after looksmaxxing/gymmaxxing, you know you would not be rejected by them, and then did not have the ability/desire for women sounds hard to believe...but very interesting with me.

If you take a guy with a terribly low confidence mindset and suddenly put him into Brad Pitt's body/face, he's not going to automatically become charismatic, witty, know what to say, etc. That type of thing still requires personal development that takes time.

The only "ability" I had from being better looking was that I could get away with having terrible game and still manage to get laid if I wanted.

Therefore, then you are saying, nofap helped you become more charismatic, witty and knowing what to say?

That works for me. But that has nothing to do with nofap.

I have already explained what nofap does. I have nothing to gain by saying what I say, it's just my experience and plenty of others who experience the same benefits. There are entire forums and testimonials devoted to this topic.

You need to research what dopamine is, the effects of fapping/porn on the brain (it is similar to heroin), the effects of nofap on testosterone, etc. The benefits are physiological and psychological.

When you remove artificial stimulus like porn and stop ejaculating multiple times a day, number one your dopamine resets to a normal level which makes regular things pleasurable and number two, you retain your seed (your life force) which gives you the energy and confidence to do more in life. All of this contributes to your increased charisma, wit, etc.

I have literally stopped for 30 days and I felt like I was on speed (and yes, I've tried speed). The amount of energy I had, the desire to be social, the eye contact, the deeper voice, the mental sharpness, lack of brain fog, better sleep quality, all of these things were very real.

What you wrote in the last paragraph (ie mental sharpness, lack of brain fog, deeper voice....etc....) translates with being charasmatic, whitty and knowing what to say and answers the question I had asked. There is no need for a defensive tone.

As I've mentioned before, I do not fap myself as of recent and, can say that I have never noticed any benefits, as it pertains to the opposite sex, when I did not fap and/or do not look at porn. You can talk to some women, and others you can't really talk to if they are ignoring you or not giving you the time of day.

Defensive tone? I have no idea what you're referring to. You doubted my thesis, I defended it, simple as that.

If you are 48 years old and not on testosterone supplements your testosterone is likely so low that whether or not you fap you would notice zero difference. Not fapping in middle age likely doesn't matter because biologically (not mentally) your urge to procreate is likely gone, so retaining your seed wouldn't do much for you unless you were emptying it regularly to begin with. Ignoring that, if you don't fap to begin with or even look at porn, there's no reason you would notice a difference. You are already at baseline. For me though, my testosterone even in my mid 30s is 1000+ with plenty of free test. Fapping does reduce that by quite a bit so the effects of abstinence are very noticeable.

The benefits of nofap that I listed - energy, desire to be social, eye contact, deeper voice, mental sharpness, lack of brain fog, better sleep quality - these things do not create charisma or wit, but they prime your body to be at a level at which you can actually tap into those qualities. That's my point. It's very difficult to have those qualities when you feel completely drained from fapping.

It's kind of like drugs - take a guy who's addicted to something and force him off of it, he will have withdrawal symptoms and over time feel a lot better, but if you take a guy who's never been addicted to it, he's not going to notice anything different.

The reason so many people doubt the benefits of nofap is because they are simply recreational users of porn/masturbation and when they stop, they don't notice much difference. They were never addicted to begin with. Fapping 3-5x a week or even 10x a week is nothing. People like me, I was fapping 3-5x a DAY for well over a decade, since I hit puberty. Do the math - 5x a week for a year is 260 faps. 4x a day is 1460 faps. Not to mention the amount of porn usage in both scenarios - 5x a week @ 30 minutes a session is 130 hours of porn, whereas 4x a day is 730 hours.

You are ignoring the amount of stimulus received when comparing a true addict to someone who is a recreational user. The combination of extreme overstimulus from porn and the extreme dopamine rush from fapping is deadly. This is one reason why porn is released in countries during war as a weapon to destroy the enemy. It completely pacifies them.
