I recently bought some comic books from the 1980's in new condition and in the plastic for $1 each. The seller had thousands of them of various franchises. I researched them, and once I get them graded, some will likely be worth up to $400 each (I researched which franchises were in the greatest demand before buying them). Anyway, my question is: what is the best way to get the $1 sticker placed by the seller (not the manufacturer) off of the plastic bags without causing any damage, or should I just put another sticker over it, saying $400 or whatever amount? I plan to get the ones I think are worth $100 or more each (I researched them), graded, slabbed, and encapsuled to sell. The reason that I don't want the $1 stickers visible is that, who would pay $400 or whatever amount for a comic book that has a $1 sticker on it. @Dr.Suave, @eli77 or whoever knows how to do this.

Solvents remove glue. There are a lot of different solvents. 70% isopropyl alcohol is the cheapest and easiest to find. Everclear from the liquor store is 100% (except for California.)

Obviously don't get alcohol on the comic book itself, or it will dissolve the ink. And solvents tend to be flammable. Don't do this next to an open flame.

I would just leave the sticker.

Who would pay $400 or whatever amount for a comic book that has a $1 sticker on it.
Someone who can spare the money

I don't think I could come up with a better way to keep a chick's panties on then to tell her, "would you like to see the comic books I got for only a dollar?".
