I can kinda sorta sympathize with corrector getting the boot, as he was prone to clogging up the boards with nonsensical ramblings like https://www.sosuave.net/forum/threads/break-up-with-imaginary-of-friend.281824/#post-3111392 Even then, if we're committee to free expression, it makes far more sense to simply ignore posts one finds objectionable in some way, rather banning whoever it was who wrote them

AmsterdamAssassin's banning makes no sense whatsoever, even if it is temporary. He didn't threaten anyone with physical violence, post links to footage of ISIS beheadings or kiddie porn. What possible justification could there be for a suspension?

Off the top of my head, this one:

  • SoSuave reserves the right to revoke your membership to the forums or disable your posting ability for any or no reason whatsoever.

SoSuave is a privately owned website, people forget that. But even so, most Mods like myself dont have a magic wand to ban members and bans of regular members dont happen overnight, there is a process.

Thread Locked and have a nice day. Feel free to PM me if you have any further concerns.

When you give people multiple chances to do something and they refuse to do it and ignore what they were asked to do, then that would be the next step.

We don't "ban" anyone. People choose to ban themselves from not heeding multiple warnings and conversations.
