I assume most of the guys on this forum are introverts (sucks for you). I'm also one, and proud of it

What do you do to stay motivated in life?

I lift heavy weights.

If you don't lift weights, you should start planning on it now

It is honestly the most effective change you can make in your life

I also love to read, which expands my mind and gets me ready to impress the ladies (introvert!)

And obviously the thought in my mind that if I keep moving forward, I will find success (human!)

What about y'all?

Moved into a new place, so unpacking and fixing things has been my main priority.

I got a dishwasher working today. It wasn't washing properly, and I originally thought the problem was the pump, but it turns out she was just a lazy woman and needed a kick :)

Nah, but I did diagnose the problem and fix it myself, which felt great! I find a lot of joy in fixing things with my hands.

I've also been polishing my skills at other small plumbing chores, eradicating bugs, carpentry, painting, electrical.

I don't have time for hobbies these days, but i reckon work sets the soul free.

I’m also on a home/place improvement kick. Replaced a toilet yesterday and did some yard work.

Make a conscious effort to be out in the sun, each and every day. Lack of Vitamin C f-cks up your T levels royally. Low T = Sluggishness in all areas of life more generally

As an introvert myself I can tell you that social gathering and social activities cease to be a drain once you're fully independant in there.

If you can freely decide how long you will stay and are fully independant when it comes of transportations, it's much less dragging.

Also when you get tired just leave, no need to say good bye or give explanations.

The gym is amazing especially cause it's on your schedule, no need to coordinate or cooperate with anyone and you can freely pursue your goals whatever they are.

Regarding home improvements I'm a great fan of it, which is why I told my gf to cut all the useless crap like trips and eating out in order to better plan home renovations and long term achievement.

Let's order some food tonight= No, I'll cook myself to fit my macros and avoid crap while saving money.

It's more difficult with a woman in tow.

I hate the gym. I bought a rack and a set of Olympic weights

Totally agree and I believe this is one of the main reason many men above 30 are quitting on serious relationships..it's too much of a drag given how most men see social rules and socializing.
Yes, but men have always disagreed with women on this

My dad and uncles are boomers, but they're all still married to their first wife, and they were all very open about saying "women things" and "b1tches be shopping," in their own way. It was just something that was accepted as a natural difference between men and women.

In our generation, women's greed reached an apex: they think they should be independent and be able to do whatever they want in life, but at the same time, ignore their natural, womanly duties

I've been better at cooking and cleaning than any woman i've ever dated. My current one quietly resents me because of it. As she should lol

All they want to do nowadays is decorate the house, not clean it. Women have always enjoyed decorating, but now it should be a career lmao. What a joke.

Women are social creatures by nature; they have an urge based in evolution. This has always been accepted, but it used to be relegated to a church, not the entire world....

The social media revolution changed everything. Women get attention for taking a picture now; they're on dating apps and get hundreds of messages from thirsty betas. They think they're worth more than they are. This was game over for the normal avenues of finding a mate, as a normal, heterosexual male.

These days, you have to embrace the fact that women's true nature has been unchained, and that they're a lot of entitled morons...

You have to be an @sshole that is willing to put them in line. And if you can manage this, you will actually find more success with women, while simultaneously bypassing the ones that aren't worthy of your time.

Sorry, went on a tangent there

It's ironic that as you gain more wisdom, you become less tolerant of other people's stupidity.

I'm talking about in daily life, like driving in traffic etc

We all hated picky, old people in our youth. Then, if we're lucky, we become picky, old people ourselves

Life is exciting when you're young; everything is novel, and the new experiences invigorate you. Constantly

Then you get old, experience most things, and hardly anything excites you.

This isn't an original thought, obviously, just putting my thoughts on paper.

@Scaramouche i've always respected you as a poster and would appreciate your insights here

No, that is not ironic. Nor is it wisdom.

Wisdom would be that you recognise that your annoyance at their inefficient/stupid behaviour has to do with you being efficient/smart, but a wise person would be tolerant of other people's disabilities.

I'm not wise, just a capable person with good self control, but even I get annoyed in traffic by people endangering me by being morons. It's a natural thing to look down on inferior people, but I wouldn't call it wise.

My generation was raised to believe in a monk-type transcendence. "We're all equal, man."

My generation was raised by yours, i might add

Yes. This is the intelligent man's burden. Which a great poet once said.

The wisdom is in knowing that gaining a few seconds in traffic, may one day lead to eternal seconds of sleep.

I just took an old thought and put it in my own words. I suppose i'm a poet now

Hi Vending Machine Veteran,
"It's ironic that as you gain more wisdom, you become less tolerant of other people's stupidity."...Oh dear,I would like to agree with you,but I can't,in fact I have found exactly the opposite.I believe tolerance is one of the hallmarks of wisdom....But the very concepts of wisdom and tolerance are terribly subjective, because these words mean different things to different people
"Then you get old, experience most things, and hardly anything excites you."...Sorry VMP I am being contrary again, because that's not how it's panned out for me.....Sure if you go to a nursing Home and see the poor old Svods waiting for their happy pills it seems that way,but because the good Lord gave me reasonable health and I sacrificed and slaved as a young Man so I might have ready Tin in my pocket now,I have never been happier nor more interested in life.

You're a better man than me, i know that. I've been reading your posts for over a decade, and i was always mostly impressed by your ability to take no offense. Ever. I always appreciated that in you, sir. Just wanted to let you know

I knew that wasn't you. Just prompted you to post your wisdom
