Because they usually can only fantasize about men actually doing that stuff to them. Most guys are clueless in that domain.

2 of my ex-s read romance novels before we got together. Basically girl-porn. I guess lonely & horny. I read one of the books out of curiosity. Like an old school porn movie. Mostly a plot with explicit sex. A surprising amount of fingering. But. She really liked that so…

Currently working on the second novel in an erotic romantic suspense kink trilogy aimed at the kinky female audience. Beta readers of the first book enjoyed themselves and are eagerly waiting for part two.

I found that mixing suspense and delaying gratification makes the stories addictive. And of course you can get a lot of insight in writing an attractive male character.

Hi there!
Which are the main reasons woman read the romance novels?
It’s the equivalent of porn for women. It allows them to fantasize about the that ONE alpha male they would have the hots for.

Or the billionaire boyfriend who doesn't care that she's just a plain middle class girl.
Or the 500y old vampire who is inexplicably attracted to a dumpy high school girl.
Or the combat veteran with PTSD who need her nurturing side to gain back his sex drive.
Or the well-endowed grieving widower who isolated himself but comes out of his shell for her.
Et cetera.

In short, it's girl p0rn. Stimulate her mind and you stimulate her body.
Exactly, create an intimate narrative that plays on her fantasies and she will drag you into the bedroom.

The dirty talk it's really interesting Narrative it's also fashinating.
Of course english won't work for a french couple for example, but it may share the same "narrative structure".

Btw, I know different woman, and some of them are married and still reading this porn ****?
I thought that to be something that would interest teenage woman, but not people who are married with kids.

Most married men still watch porn and masturbate, so....

The real question is why don't men read romance novels? What is wrong with them? They do seem to like retarded Western novells. Or brainless porn.

I checked reddit:

Some plots I would think would resonate with most men:

  • On the run from the law with a girlfriend
  • Meeting a female childhood friend years later, becoming lovers
  • Younger guy stealing the wife/girlfriend of some older, powerful douchebag
  • A younger man having an affair with an older woman (complications, sex, love)
  • An older man having an affair with a younger woman (complications, sex, love)
  • Meeting a foreign and exotic woman, trouble ensuing and overcoming
  • Overcoming troubles with the help of a woman (playboy redeemed, destructive life etc)
I think most good love stories for men involve themes of power and redemption, in which the woman is both the helper and the prize of this process. The man is at some sort of crossroad in life, meets a woman who inspires a process for change, as a result of this positive change, gets the girl and lives happily ever after. A spin on the story of fairy tales, winning the princess.

I read one my girl at the time was reading. It was a gangster novel. Too slow paced for me. definitely from a woman’s perspective. a fair number of sex scenes.

Of course it does not make sense to read novels for women. Btw reminds me of graphic novels who were made by Jews. It is a genre where Jews get tortured in concentration camps in Germany. Where the hot evil female guardians have sex with the jewish prisoners.

Not without their husband present.
I've missed this ahah!

Btw, there is a tendency to "erotic", since the media is pushing in this direction.
In my community and social circle, there are at 80% women who have the habit to get drama (reading, watching series), and other 20% have activities like gym, and have hobbies or read but no drama like erotic or triller novels, but maybe self improvement stuff.

This make me believe there is a connection of what a women read, to how her is shaped.
This is my conclusion but it can be completely wrong, so I want you guys to help out:
Women who read/see a lot of drama and erotic stuff are the most masculine and drama queens. Also these women in particular have esier tendency to get into "addictive stuff" like eating junk food, smoke, drugs, etc.

Women who read/see not too much self improvement stuff are the most feminine and not so drama addicted. Also those would have hobbies or passions.

What do you guys think?
