I have incredibly loud Neighbours, slamming unnecessary doors, childs who run around until 1-2 am in the morning, loud and excessive talking. You can literally hear them even after you leave your apartment from upstairs. We already had to deal with lots of BS coming from them like leaving their TV open very loud during the Night and lots of other BS. We talked with the Landlord and they stopped making noise for 1-2days and started again. Wartned them almost 10+ times, problem is the law isnt really in Societies favor in such circumstances. So Im just wondering how you guys deal with such Narcissistic People.

I wished I could move away, but its not possible unfortunately

Most leases have a "quiet time" clause usually between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. Your landlord is responsible for making sure tenants abide by that clause, if not you as the tenant who's suffering, may have a cause of action against your landlord.

In California there is an ordinance for "quiet time" during the same hours. Not sure about other states.

I experienced this a few years ago. There was serious domestic abuse going on in the apartment directly above mine, usually around 1:00-2:00 a.m. Living below I could hear everything, it sounded like a third world war. They were also very loud at other tines, the banging was so bad it knocked out the fire alarm on my ceiling!

Management moved me to an apt on top floor with large windows and a view of the bay for same rent and the tenants in violation were eventually evicted.

As a tenant, you do have rights.

We own the apartment, but I’m not responsible for the decisions. So we don’t have any landlord only the guys up there and we complained to both. The landlord doesn’t even respond to our messages and is literally stonewalling me and other neighbours he is befriend with. I believe the landlord himself is a narcissist, since he didn’t even take responsibility for the damage our neighbours have done. They put cigarettes into the bathroom sink causing our ceiling to burn off, so the landlord has to paint the ceiling and basically get it done clear and tidy. This actually happened twice, but again the landlord still didn’t paint it even after a year even though he has to do it within a year. He keeps giving excuses and then stonewalls. Another bs from Our neighbours upstairs, they didn’t clean the balcony causing water damage to our ceiling. Another incident again with water damage. As I confronted them I also noticed the kids kinda looked beatdown, they looked sleep deprived I believe they are also victim of the abuse

They are 5 siblings two of them adults, male and female and both aren’t doing anything about it. They actually enjoy and participate in it. One of them even raged at their kids because I complained to their landlord. I would honestly break their bones so they have to spend a long time in the hospital, but I know it would kill my ongoing career and I wouldn’t let these losers ruin it

And yes we have such quiet time, but they keep ignoring them, if you call the police they don’t care they’ll keep doing it. The law system here is a joke, I don’t believe they’d can do anything about it, it would be waste of money in the end

It depends on where you live. The U.S. has laws about public disturbance, so police can easily be called and they will deal with and warn the neighbors. If you are in India, well it's the law of the jungle.

But at the end of the day, if nothing works, you have to find a way to move or fight back. Fighting back would mean hitting them where it hurts, they have children who do have to go to bed so when they do you come in. Play ridiculous circus music, have loud sex, etc. Sounds childish but it would give them a taste of their own medicine so they get the point of how it feels.

If you are technically savvy, you can connect to their wifi, TV, and Bluetooth devices and mess with them.

I was thinking about fighting back but the problem is we have also people below us, and these guys are actually nice. So I wouldn’t do any favor/fairness to them in the end with what you have listed.

About the technical thing, I’ll do some research about it, but can’t really detect any Bluetooth devices. I have heard there are some kind of universal remote control that you can try on most tvs, I’ll have to look more into it

This is contradictory, either you have a landlord or you don't?

Hi Ong Bat,
Hmmm,Sounds pretty bad....Retaliation is your way....Find out where their Electricity Circuit breaker is,turn it off....Turn off their water....Find a nice big sloppy Dog Turd at the Park, put it in their door way...anonymously call the Cops saying that a Young Child is being savagely beaten, they will get the message!

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.

Ah, well in that case yes you are right. It wouldn't be cool for the people downstairs.

Just be careful because it is technically illegal (again depending on where you live). In the U.S. connecting to someone else's wifi or systems is considered hacking and intrusion of a "private" domain. But everything is legal as long as you don't get caught and cover your trace. Also, keep in mind this is a last-resort option. The best is to file a report with the police for public disturbance and have them come out and talk to the lousy neighbors.

Hope it works out man. Good luck!
