Older Baby Boomer men were taking out early Generation X women? Was that the dynamic of the 1990s singles market?

You were also disadvantaged with your height. Your lack of height was likely the biggest issue.
Flannel shirts will never be sexy, lol.

I think the demographics was an equal detriment. I feel that had there been good demographics, there would have been a surplus of women, so there would be enough women that would feel that they can't be too picky on height to get a good professional man; with the woman shortage, my professional job was only of interest to single mommies    , and fatties of course.

In the United States, it is common for Gen Y/Millennials (my generation) to think that Boomers and Generation X had a healthier mating environment in their younger years.

In the late 1980s-1990s United States, you were relying way too much upon your professional job to attract women. While you probably had an above average job at the time (especially for your age as a 20s/early 30s guy), it wasn't enough to offset your height issues. Earlier in 2023, this forum had a thread where an idea was expressed that women were not interested in middle class men, defined typically as 30+ men earning $75,000-125,000 a year in the initial post.

In the 1990s, you were the equivalent of the $75,000 - $125,000 earning man of 2023 who doesn't generate a lot of interest from desirable women.

In the 1990s, you likely would have had to substantially increase your salary to impress women as a 5'5" man. You probably would have needed your direct supervisor's job and salary level at you age to impress similarly aged childless women in the United States.

It was expected that a man with below average height and maybe a slightly above average white collar job would only attract attention from single moms and overweight childless women. That's also been true in the post-2000 USA dating market too.

Even physically attractive single moms in their 30s/early 40s are not great dating prospects. For a younger guy in his early to mid 20s, they might be novelty for something like 6-12 months. That's a casual sex situationship. For a childless 35-40 year old man, a 35-40 year old physically attractive single mother isn't that enticing of an option. Those men would rather have childless 35-40 year olds or childless women under 35.

When I was a full-time aerospace engineer, I made less than that amount (that salary scale was barely attainable for folks in SoCal who had 10+ years of experience), but for my relatively poor region, it was good money. Stupid me, I had thought that being an engineer should have attracted women to me.:mad:

Aerospace engineer is a very solid job. It takes a lot to get the degree (even a bachelor's level degree).

Very few engineers attract women based on the fact that they are engineers. If an engineer happens to get women, it is because of his looks. His looks might be top tier level. However, most top tier level looking men have non-engineering and non-STEM jobs.

Within STEM, it is possible that being a medical doctor could provide a job-related SMV boost. I think that boost comes more when women are late 20s/early 30s and hunting for a provider type for a family. There are also some provider hunters who are already single moms. I think most younger doctors (doctors in their late 20s and 30s) have enough SMV to get a childless woman.

Most of the medical doctors I've met over time as a result of my medical appointments have appeared to be as older, married beta males.

I also do think there is accuracy in @MatureDJ 's cartoon. Women might not give their sexual best to the beta provider male that they might end up marrying in their late 20s/early 30s.

I had sex with half the MILFs in my kids' primary school.

Most of them are bored and if they know you're discreet, they come over after lunch when the kids go back to school for some 'afternoon delight'. And since most of them have a partner/husband, you don't have to 'date' them. They prefer to come over to my house, where they can pretend to 'drink coffee' with me. No subterfuge needed.

Many of them still come over for 'coffee', even now our kids go to different high schools.

Aah Amsterdam,
The noblest Don Juan of us all, just as the Caesars wore Purple to signify their nobility you shall wear Batavian Cerise a shade only a little less August....wear it proudly, you have made of what others see as cheap and tawdry a noble calling...What higher purpose than to bring a few sparkles into the lives of these lovely Girls....More strength to your elbow!

Yeah, using his daughter as a game prop to get other guy's wives. His daughter is wondering which other classmates mothers were with her father because her dad is a motherfer.

@corrector and @Scaramouche

@AmsterdamAssassin has an unusual lifestyle and interests, I get that, but it doesn't grant a free card to pick on him. Disagreeing and having a different view is one thing, doing nothing other than mocking him is not acceptable.

If you don't like it you can simply just not reply to him. That said, he shouldn't have replied back.

If I see any more of this crap I'll start handing out consequences...

It the mid'90s, before I had discovered GeoMaxxing, it seemed like the only chicks that were both available and not snooty towards me were single mommies. That was a very dark time for me.
Excuse my ignorance what is the difference between “passport bros” and “geomaxxers”?

Hi Serenity,
I am certainly not mocking Amsterdam....At his age I led exactly the same lifestyle...I genuinely believe he is doing a great deal for these young Women, let's face it
bringing up young Kids as a single Mother is a thankless task!

But can you do the Fandango? ‘Cause I’m sure @AmsterdamAssassin can!

Hi Pierce,
You're right....Laugh and grow fat!
I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy
Because I'm easy come, easy go, little high, little low
Any way the wind blows doesn't really matter to me,to me!

There are times when I meet a woman who I find to be attractive and she's in her 30s. When I find out she has kids, that's a bit of a deal breaker for me as a childless man. I'm disappointed when it happens. If I could get casual sex from her with limited effort, that might work. I would greatly prefer a childless woman as that's a better lifestyle fit for me. I'm going to put in more effort for a childless woman.
