I don't doubt average guys struggle more than ever before and the deck is stacked against a lot. But the current crop of 20-30 year olds have some issues. I see a lot of weakness, lack of confidence, lack of drive. They give up too easily, and their skin isn't very thick. They think of every excuse of why they can't be successful, vs why they could. Too many want to start at the top than put in the hard work to get there. You won't be successful with women with these characteristics. It's the consequences of generations growing up with instant gratification and lacking social skills.

If a guy is 5’5” the LAST thing he should do is get jacked. It just looks all sorts of weird.

As we have consistently said on Sosuave, THIS is the ONLY problem. The height, the height, the height.

I have woman friend who has a 28 year old son (she got pregnant at 18), he is making minimum wage. Girlfriend is decent looking, 8 months pregnant right now. Why? He is 6’3.

There was woman in my building, 5’9, I met her as a setup, she met another guy too. I could buy the guy 10,000 times over. She picked him over me. Why? He was 6’1.

The “6’0, six figures, six whatever” is all garbage. The only thing that matters is height, I’ve never ever had a girl ask me “how much you make?” I’ve never ever had a girl say “how are your reproductive parts?” But women take one look at my height, not 6’1 and I’m done.
It's OVER for Sub6-1Cels.   (I need to make a graph of what height it is OVER at over the years. )
Men, make sure get tall first. You have to get tall before you can be considered datable with hot girls in 2023.

More than six in ten men aged 18 to 29 are now single, up from about five in ten in 2019, according to data from Pew Research Center. Respondents give a range of reasons for their singlehood, including having “more important priorities,” the fact they “just like being single,” or that they’ve gotten “too old” to keep trying.

But part of it also boils down to this: it’s hard for men to find partners at a moment when women are outpacing them both at school and work.
Time to call BS. There are loads of well-earning engineers, lawyers, and amazingly even physicians (!), that are only considered datable by fat chicks, single mommies, or barren harridans (barridans?).

My 5'10" height is considered complete shiit by the average Millennial woman in my dating pool.
Then 5'5" must be considered diarrhea.
I could not even imagine between 5'5" and trying to date any White American woman today in the Millennial generation (1981-1996). The ones with bachelor's degrees or higher are highly entitled and often pretentious. They are extremely selective, which is why 5'10" isn't considered ideal. I've seduced many women despite my 5'10" height but I've had to do a lot more approaches to do. I have had the great fortune of having some same night sex from bar approaches and even first date sex.

If I weren't passionate about no porn and no fap, I might consider dropping out. However, I have a nearly 800 testosterone score at my last test and I like vagina way too much. That's why I've kept approaching and seducing. Lined up another prospect tonight.

I can imagine that with engineers and physicians because they are in STEM. Lawyers are more likely to have stronger social skills but even some of them are beta bucks.

I only date childless women.

I’m an average 5’8 - 5‘9 but never had a problem with my height.

Sure, it’s going to reduce my chances with a 6ft+ Amazon woman nor do I care.
Those that question my height because they like to wear heels, blah, blah, I always comeback with a simple response like “don’t worry I’m a good climber” or ”you won’t care when we’re horizontal“.
Hold frame and make them laugh.

If they’re persistent on filtering you through a measuring stick - there’s the door and hopefully it’s big enough to accommodate there inflated self worth.

But even the alphas are feeling the squeeze.

One New York City–based psychologist, David Gordon, says many of the high-powered men he treats—including doctors, lawyers, and financiers—fret over their ability to attract a woman, despite their enviable salaries or careers.
When these type of men aren't good enough for women, Society is OVER.

5'10" is about average height. Steve Jobs was 5'10" on a good day. I think he was actually a tad under. I'm 5'10" and I don't have any fears about not being able to seduce woman taller than me.

Also, just a side note. Being tall isn't good for combat. You can't fit into jets, or tanks. I think jet fighters are about 5'10 or even 5'8". I think the average tank commander is 5'6". Also, during wars, tall people get singled out to be shot or killed. Also, bigger soldiers require more food and therefore cannot last as long in campaigns.

When the SHTF, shorter guys on average have a lot of advantages.

I’m 5’10 and I refuse to lift heavy to bulk up, it would just look weird on my frame. I’m perfect around 185lbs and it matches my frame. I workout to remain lean over bulk.
That's not bad for 5'10" if that is some dense muscle. According to the BMI calculator, a 5'10" person becomes overweight at 174 lbs (25.0 BMI).

I'm 5'10" and around 165-170.

So no JBW card for him.
JBW isn't as much of a big deal as non-Whites think that it is. Plenty of White men are incel and borderline.

I think this guy would have trouble dating even 20 years ago.
Does anyone know when being 6'0" started to become the baseline standard for women?

My sense is that started around the time when online dating websites became de-stigmatized. Women started to use them more and started to see their inboxes flooded on the internet. Around the same time, social media and smartphones became more popular. The combination of online dating websites/apps, social media, and smartphones make this possible. I'd say it has its roots in the 2008-2012 era.

I topped off at 5'10" around 2000. I don't remember my 5'10" height being judged negatively until the 2010s.

A man can minimize the height thing by arranging dates offline. There's still an effect in the real world even when taller than most women. A good portion of women can tell that the height difference isn't as big as they desire.

At 5'10", my degree of difficulty is increased. This isn't complaining, this is a field tested observation.

Tell me you don't lift without telling you're puzzy.

I'm 5'6" 170lbs, my goal is to get to 180 & 190lb eventually, you're telling me I would look weird jacked and won't increase my smv? You should be a comedian.
Being short as you are, no. People will snicker behind your back, I’ve seen it. I’ve been lifting all of my life actually, I just don’t lift heavy anymore except every now and then on deadlifts. It’s why my joints are good at 40yrs old and my mobility is still top notch. You probably have zero flexibility being that bulky at your height. If I was you I would stop bulking right now and work on atrophy and high reps with lighter weight. I’d incorporate HITT into my routine and never get over 165-170. All of your sets should be 15 reps and you need to start doing stuff like 30” box jumps, man makers, etc. leave the squat rack and bench alone.

Thanks man, I often feel I'm skinny as fvck.
I’m honestly trying to help you, not put you down. If you’re 170 and 5’6 you aren’t skinny at all. You for damn sure don’t want to get up to 180-190. Carrying all that extra weight around will make you feel like Ass and your joints will hate you in a few years.
