It didn't just happen overnight...it likely happened little by little because he kept allowing more and more to occur without walking away.

Likely a toxic relationship to begin with, because that's where 90% of the issues come from like this. People who never should have gotten married in the first place get married and then have the same issues they have had all throughout the time they were dating.

Marriage doesn't make bad relationships better, it makes them worse.

I agree with you in theory, but my situation is unique.

Sure, I allowed it, but I allowed it because I felt I needed to allow it..based on my past transgressions in the marriage.

I thought I needed to pay for the way I had been treating her (which was horrible), and her treatment of me was well deserved as I had mentally scarred her.

But after some years, it became apparent that it was much more to it than that.

After doing some research, I found out that she had some childhood trauma (most narcissists suffer from troubled childhoods) that she suppressed...but my bad behavior brought her inner demons out and now the beast is out with no plans on going back.

She has narcissistic personality disorder, long story short.

And it ain't nothing to play with.

I married her for both the right reasons, and the wrong reasons..

Right reasons: She proved herself to be a worthy Queen, because of the King treatment she gave me.

Cooked. Cleaned. Did laundry. Love. Affection. Stood beside me during my darkest hours.

Would fight for me. In my corner. By my side. Everything you could ask for in a good woman.

Wrong reasons: Despite all that, I still wasn't ready for marriage. I married her for two reasons..

A. Convenience (at the time).
B. Guilt (I had cheated and got a woman pregnant).

Don't tell me, she was hot!!!
