For this reason any story coming out of China cannot be trusted since they are relying on propaganda and indoctrination to police their country as well as the world.

The real threat here is Artificial Intelligence in tandem with Quantum Computing, both of these things represent their own singularity however few people realize both these technologies are coming into prominence at near the same time, meaning we're set to under a 'Double Singularity' which sounds ridiculous.

They are trying to put an AI behind Quantum Computing and the second they do its guaranteed to go rogue, you just cannot control technology like this when it's innovating its own ways of learning which will become exponential to its own way of learning right now which is already a far exponential beyond our own, your talking a doubling of exponential potential.

IF they do have this chip which is doubtful but if they do, the world is doomed.

All it takes is for the dictator chief executive to think that his best chance of staying in power is to go on a war footing rather than by economic growth, and it happens. The only reason China is not as "durable" as Russia is because it has to import food & energy; to his credit, Putin did a good job of finally getting Russian agriculture to be self-sufficient (something that CPSU could not figure out how to do), and it has always been loaded in energy - although it still depends on imported parts for its petrochemical industry.
