Now you do. If I recall correctly, you were too. Were you?
Yeah, July 5, 2014. We seperated on Oct,.2014 and I defiled myself on Dec 5, 2014, 6 mo after and then had a nervous breakdown afterwards. First the marriage breakdown then the nervous one after the spiteful defilement.

I don't think the Manosphere creates incels and weak minded men. The Manosphere is part of the solution, not a part of the problem.
I don’t think the intent is to do so. I think peak manosphere was “The Game”, I know actual normies that read it. Unfortunately, that contributed to its decline with the new marketers exploiting for self material gain such as “alpha & beta males”. This caused a huge bubble that spilled in to the red pill community after the PUA movement collapsed. Right now the bubble is growing and is just waiting to pop. The black pill community is getting the excess from the ballooned red pill space and Fresh and Fit are the only gurus keeping the bubble from popping. Every remedy such as the Hamza self help/entrepreneurship hustle & Andrew Tateism has failed to fix the bubble.

How did yo "defile"yourself?
By visiting an escort at 11:30p named Bianca and then getting a catastrophic spiritual attack the next morning. The divorce was finalized in July the following year. Hindsight is always 20/20, especially after a 9 year dryspell and, while I might feel all of that could have gone differently, I respect the fact this ex wife touched a nerve by being too disrespectful with me (asking for a divorce) and the lack of resources.

"The Game" came out in September 2005. Since you have said you're 30 today, "The Game" came out when you were 12. I doubt when you were 12-13 back in 2005-2006 that you were tremendously concerned about that book.

When "The Game" came out, I was 22 and had recently graduated college. I was in my first post-college city and in a situation in life where meeting new people was a priority.

I remember one of my long time friends at the time (a normie and no longer a friend) talking to me on the phone about reading "The Game". This was likely in the first year after "The Game" was released.

I agree that plenty of normies read "The Game". It was on the New York Times' best seller list for a while. That doesn't happen unless normies buy it and read it. However, I am sure that plenty of normies read "The Game" and failed to implement the ideas from it in their lives.

Eventually "The Game" and its successor book "Mystery Method" (released 2007) faded from mainstream consciousness.

Roosh's "Bang" (released March 2007) was a reaction to the success of "The Game".

When do you think the whole PUA thing collapsed?

Most people peg it collapsed around 2014, the year I got married.

When do you think the whole PUA thing collapsed?
The collapse was a slow-burning process that actually took years,I would say 2013 when MGTOW rose the pua community was dead
Even on this site when I first came 15 years ago 2008, there was a huge emphasies on self-improvement, field reports, and high intellectual discourse.
Threads like
"How to do escort game" or "Seeking arrangement game" in 2008-2011 didn't exist here and threads like that would have been shunned at the least or banned now they are the norm.

2008-2012 (and before 2008)If you were around Sosuave the forum was very active with highly intellectual posters who have long been forgotten, yes you had your keyboard jockeys but the pushback was greater because you had guys out in real-time in the field. However even back then the forum was slowly starting to slow down and more incel/MGtow types start to inflirate the forum by 2011. By 2014 The Blackpill was in full force and this site turned into a graveyard

In 2018 There was a revival wth the rise of Alpha male stratiges but he's not a PUA, he preaches the alpha b.s. but even he has walked backsomeof his older talking points

In 2023 the Redpill now has turned into a clown show everyone is trying to do the Fresh and fit podcast self-improvement is disgraged in favor of dunking on women. I.e. Unflitered podcast, whatever podcast, JustUglythingsPodvast etc

Modern men are in shambles and the stats back this up. AI is on the horizon, the next 10 years are gonna be insteresting

Dang, I didn't know it was that old? I started seeking female advice my senior year of high school because of my first oneitis, I also discovered this site then too and read some articles such as the Pook guy. Furthermore, I have been forum/YouTube browsy since middle school, so I have always been aware of what is being posted. I do not remember the "Alpha male"/"Red Pill" stuff going off the grid in to the guru hands until college kind of when the PUA movement started to collapse around 2014sh. I think the final nail in the coffin for PUA was when Roosh callled it quits, and Todd V was humiliated in that NYC approach video. Other than that, I agree with @Solomon that it was a slow burning process. By the end of college, I started noticing it going a little mainstream.

Never saw that. Todd V has had the same average looking girlfriend for a while.

Roosh callled it quits
Roosh called it quits in 2019. He had a big issue in 2016 with the outrage over the planned meetups he had to cancel due to media shaming. Roosh's younger sister then died of breast cancer in 2018.

This is a good history. "The Game" brought PUA into mainstream from 2005-2010. As the 2010s progressed, MGTOW and black pill started to gain ground on PUA and red pill.

I think a big turning point in the history of redpill and blackpill communities is when Eliot Rodger happened. His crimes pushed incels and the black pill into the mainstream and after that there was no going back. After all that occurred the media backlash against the black and red pills became more intense. All this of course coincided around the time SJWism was really hitting the mainstream as well. It seems post 2014 and into the late 2010s the black pill really infiltrated manoshpere spaces too

Interesting idea, but there were other killings with strong incel themes before Eliot Rodger. Columbine High School massacre (1999), Virginia Tech massacre (2007) and the George Sodini LA Fitness killing (2009) were all incel related.

Reason 1: The ideal alpha man in the manosphere does not serve as a key role model to society, while men who possess certain traits are considered beta. For example, figures in the community have publicly labeled Tom Brady, Ben Shapiro, and Jeff Bezos as beta. Having just seen Oppenheimer, I can confidently say that he would've been considered beta by the manosphere. What does the manosphere consider as an ideal standard for masculinity? Andrew Tate, a loud, chest-pounding man-child who met his downfall due to his immaturity. The whole alpha vs. beta argument and the concept of a high-value man is utterly baseless and should have faded away after the PUA movement simmered.

Reason 2: The constant shifting of goalposts leads men down a path of confusion. If we consider looks, money, and status, wouldn't Tom Brady be regarded as high value or alpha? Is it politically biased? Well, Ben Shapiro is a Republican, so I guess not. According to the manosphere, he is not? Are Ray Ray and Pookie, the degenerates from Southside Chicago, high-value men because of how they treat women? I guess so? If you are a college-aged normal guy seeking simple dating advice and you get bombarded with this nonsense, how does that help the situation?

Reason 3: Most guys do not require drastic lifestyle changes to improve their dating lives. Look outside! I see fat, short, ugly, bald, poor, and brown men with women all the time. You do not need to transform into some shredded Giga Chad with a billion-dollar Hamsa podcast lifestyle to have a 5/10 plate or date a single mom in secret. These tactics only serve to destroy the confidence and self-esteem of an otherwise normal guy with potential. Jeff, the shy slightly overweight guy in engineering college, does not need to drop out, attempt to become a Bitcoin millionaire, and get sub 10% body fat to find a dating partner.

Reason 4: Not every woman is a Disney villain. Women work, eat, watch TV, and so on, just like men. According to the manosphere, women wake up, work 8 hours a day, come home, sleep with 3-5 different guys, go on a date with their boyfriends, and then sneak out to their main Alpha guy's house while manipulating their beta orbiters simultaneously. This is far from a representation of normal human behavior; it's a cartoonish portrayal. Believing this nonsense from the manosphere hinders healthy communication and emotional connections between men and women. Instead, some men turn into full-chan NPC mode or end up dating mentally deranged women because that's what the manosphere told them is normal, leading them to filter out all the normal women.
You won me over in the first couple lines “Tom
Brady is considered beta”. There is no fiction writer daring enough to try and portray tom brady as beta, he commands a room, he only dates models, he is the best ever at what he does, he is decisive, he owns his mistakes, need I go on? That’s literally the craziest thing I have ever heard!

“Tom Brady is considered beta”.
Tom Brady is overrated as an attractor-seducer of women. He dated and had a kid with a woman older than he is (actress Bridget Moynahan) and picked up a woman that Leonardo DiCaprio discarded in the "Leo discards women right around age 25" style (Gisele Bundchen).

Bridget Moynahan would be a strong argument for why Brady is beta.

It is why this whole older guys getting hot girls thing is largely BS. She has a status and reputation to guard, she is not going to go for some old geezer who cannot relate to her in any way when tons of men her age are throwing themselves at her. Plus, she has plenty of options to make money if she is hot.
You had me until this paragraph. Older guys can get hot girls, I've done it and I've seen it. Now maybe a "geezer" can't get hot girls, but a guy in his 30s and 40s who has it together most certainly can.

Absolutely the most bat**** statement I have heard this year. If you, or any of these Manospherians could spend 1 hour in Tom Brady’s life, you’d debate which vital organ you’d be willing to trade in order to stay there a little while longer.

Bridget Moynahan is more than 6 years older than Tom Brady. When a man dates a woman 6 years older that's not considered alpha. If an ordinary person does that, he's usually criticized for being a weak AFC with scarcity mentality. Why should Tom Brady get a pass for dating a woman 6 years older when a regular guy would be criticized for the same? In 2004 when they started dating, Tom Brady had already been a part of 2 Super Bowl winning teams. Brady would have had younger woman options as a 26-27 year old in 2004.
