It means that I'll be able to catch up on my back-logged movie watchlist faster if they are making less movies.

Times have changed. I've officially stopped visiting movie theaters since December, 2019 and don't plan to ever set food in a cinema again. They have great streaming services, and movies come out relatively quickly once they are released, and even if you have to wait 100 days, so what? The time flies so fast.

Let me let you in on something. Avatar: Way of the Water is in my Disney Plus watchlist and I just watched the first 20 minutes. I remember when it was in cinema and I was considering to watch it. Then I figure, why bother going to watch this, it will probably be in my Disney-plus movie watch-list where I haven't come around to watching it, and look and behold there it is. Every movie that comes out in cinema will eventually end up in some streaming watch-list somewhere where I may or may not even watch it.

If I do watch a movie, there are great TVs out there that are better than cinema quality, and VR head-sets if you really want to mimic a cinema. Times have just changed since the Pandemic and the strike is reflecting the changing world post-pandemic and the rise of AI, etc...

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out I do think these actors should get more royalties and I do think this is going to drag on for a couple of weeks if not months.

Great thing . Hollywood is producing shyte for way too long. They also murdered all of my childhood heroes. All of them.

Great to see that eventually even such a powerhouse can be taken down. Gives me hope in humanity.

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

Exactly how I feel about it. Hollywood is embarrassing these days. But overall in a bigger picture, I've started really considering moving out of America alltogether this year for the first time ever. I think America is headed down the shi.tter, but I also love the country for many reasons, especially some of its food , sports culture, nightlife, music culture, etc. But its tough.. Theres alot of great places to live out in the world

Hi Corrector,
Don't take offence but I would observe that you are going through a long dry dating patch... something that happens to us all, now and then....If you wish to be proactive,Movies are a great place to pick up Birds...You are a lucid writer,a great communicator, not hard for you....read all the reviews for your chosen flick then, chose a seat at the back where you may observe the audience entering. After things settle into the movie, change to a vacant seat, ideally on the aisle and with target Ladies sitting on their own, hopefully having to pass you,or make contact at the door and passageway out...Soo many lonely, vulnerable Ladies out there...get up just as they would pass you,and block them, you have dropped something, apologise the while striking up a conversation, even lay a decoy pen,on the floor where she can easily find it,oh thankyou a million dollars etc have a story about the pens intrinsic value ....Then having a plan of subsequent action worked out,it's Coffee maybe the Pub...If you go a few times you might even see the same faces again,if your Movie finishes before another that you have seen and are genned up on,then place yourself upstream from the traffic coming out of that movie and overtake any likely Lasses.

My thoughts are: who cares. Writers and actors are not worth any sympathy nor do I care for their petty drama over how much they should be making, which is already more than most people will make in a lifetime. Oh no, you have to lower your budget now instead of buying that new car you wanted or buying all those expensive clothing? lol Hollywood trips me out. I don't care for anyone there, but I won't try to feel sympathy for the corrupted industry there, either. Being an oil rig worker is hundred times more sympathetic than acting / writing.

100% on the love/hate.

I've felt this way for a long time, just not in a position to do so, and we are very fortunate to be an affluent nation so it's hard to consider something less. There are great places on the same level, I just can't afford them.

But yea, tired of comic book superhero flicks and sequels and prequels and the rest of the trash they try to shove down our throats.

I think that in the era of internet social media, folks watch movies a lot less than they used to. Also, bit-part actors are a dime a dozen, and there will be lots of scabs that will happily take the work, and now AI can produce copy on the same stupid level for the canonical comic-book or rom-com movie; art/independent movies have always been necessarily stingy, and they attract the best talent.

Hollywood will obliterate the strikers.

Men frequently err by talking too much. They often monopolize conversations, droning on and on about topics that bore women to tears. They think they're impressing the women when, in reality, they're depressing the women.

I think the last movies I've actually seen at the theatre were the Star Wars prequels.  I do watch a fair amount of movies in the trans-continental trips for my GeoMaxxing, and when I read about an interesting movie, rutracker is my friend. :) And when I visit relatives for an extended stay, we watch movies from Netflix.

Oh. That would be 2005 with Revenge of the Sith? I remember those days. The last movie I saw before quitting real cinema was the last butchered Star Wars movie. They've totally butchered Star Wars now. Only the original triology, and maybe Rogue One are great entries, the prequels were so-so with Revenge of the Sith (at least at the time) being a captivating movie. The last three movies wen from bad to sublime. They keep changing the movie-logic-rules until it gets absurd.

Yep, I went to the same local cinema where 38 years ago I saw Episode IV, this time at midnight.

I prefer to think of the Star Wars movie trilogies as long, single movies with a pair of intermissions. The slow pacing and buildup of the "boring" politics of The Republic was very important to the overall story line, which is why Episode III was so great - although obviously, Jar-Jar could have been seen A LOT less in Episode I, and little Anakin was someone that I wanted to punch in the face . And Episode III-1/2 (Rogue One) was great but for some slow pacing early on, and as well there should have been more exposition of the "I'm one with the Force, and the Force is with me" guy. And yes, the Sequel trilogy was a radioactive waste fire.

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

They've even killed my appetite for Marvel movies, I don't care anymore. For me, it all depends on how they handle the Fantastic Four, if they screw that up, they've likely lost me for good. I no longer trust Disney/Marvel. And with the strike or strikes, who knows how long it will be until FF is even made.
