Came across this post on twitter from some chick. The guy wants to meet for ice cream for the first date and she decides to decline him saying she's 26 and that's the "bare min" which means they don't have the same vibe! She's not even that hot LOL.

This guy is basically using the SS playbook. Go cheap on the first date, especially OLD since you don't know the if it will go anywhere. She probably expects the full dinner and drinks date, and the guy gets nothing in return, one date and that's it.

A first "date" is a meeting to see if she's worth it and lost cost and investment. If you click then I'll do a meal date, etc. Most suggest coffee or a drink for a first date so ice cream isn't unreasonable at all. Espeically if it's a touristy area like a boardwalk or something like I have down here.

I'm sure there is a lot of betas who make 150k a year who spend that on a first date though. First meeting should cost no more than $25 for a coffee, ice cream or a couple cheap drinks. The second meeting I can see spending $80 including tip. I would never go fancy unless in a relationship.
