The increase in remote work in the white collar space has cost many white collar working men sexual opportunities.
Over the years, I have done approaches in office buildings where I have worked. I have gotten numbers and set up dates with women working in the other companies within the same building. That's a proximity effect, not the shiiting where you eat of dating within your own workplace. I think it's a great idea to approach women within the same building working in other companies.
There are also some men who will date women working in the same company and that's not happening now with more remote white collar work. I don't think it's a good idea to date within your own employer. It can work well if two people are dating from departments/job functions that rarely overlap and the two people met at something like a company-wide party. This is only something that tends to happen in bigger companies. Dating within one's own company in a smaller company is a bad idea.

The whole work Downtown atmosphere in general has changed. I just watched an Aaron clarey video about this. Gone are the days of Christmas parties and seeing hot women in pencil skirts. I prefer WFH so I could care less tbh lol.

If your goal is to get laid, how is having to work tomorrow a problem? You've never worked on 4 or 5 hours of sleep?

The white collar work environment has changed a lot in the past 20-30 years. I graduated from college in 2005.
Most organizations still have a Christmas/Holiday party. I dislike holiday parties, especially when they are hosted after hours on a Friday.
Hot women in pencil skirts are long gone, as are men in suits. Business casual attire at most is being worn in offices.
The advantages of working in offices are the opportunities to meet women in other companies in the same building. This can easily happen in a 10+ story office building.
The in-person work environment has a lot of disadvantages that offset that one advantage.
Most people also are not friends with their co-workers and rarely spend any leisure time with co-workers.
What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

One time I had a hinge date with a girl that I found out worked in my building. The date didn’t go well and I was always praying I wouldn’t run in to her again.
This reminds. 1 of the best places to meet women could be in a large cafeteria of a building that holds multiple corporations. But after seeing each other a few times. Maybe someone could start a thread on this.

I guess you had never seen her in the building prior to the Hinge date.
If you had cold approached her in some public area of the building, perhaps a 5 minute conversation would have been enough to realize that she wasn't worth a date offer.
Your story would be a downside of an interaction going bad with a woman working in the same building. The same thing can happen at the gym. There are situations where one person changes gyms after a romantic interaction goes bad. That typically wouldn't happen after a bad first or second date, especially if it was a no sex interaction. Seeing someone in the gym or main lobby of an office building after a bad date isn't fun.
I think it is still worth doing approaches in the office building with women working in other companies. Some buildings are better than others about having eligible singles in the building.

It failed because it was right after a nasty breakup I had tbh. The icing on the cake was I had gotten banned from hinge due to my city of origin being in Russia and it sent her a message saying I had been banned lol. Still, there wasn’t much chemistry anyway and it was a simple coffee break.
