In my new job, I have to occasionally treat clients and their wives out to fancy dinners. My male clients are typically between 50-60 years of age, on average. What I've noticed is that 95% of the wives have had work done. Boobs, botox, lip fillers, etc. And they're all typically in good physical shape so maybe some work there too. And for being in their 50s they actually look quite good. We all preach about dating younger for the obvious reasons, and some for bearing children, however should you not want any kids or already have kids and don't want more, I'm finding the argument for dating younger a bit dated, no pun intended. These women can typically hold a good conversation, know a thing or 2 about life and are well put together, by God or a surgeon.

The key here is that they are married. If they were single, their attitudes would be off-putting in the vast majority of cases.
Very probable. I'll admit I have not dated older than 35 so I can't say I know what a single 50 year old is like.

@jaymbrs is interacting with some of the better 50 something women, the ones in somewhat stable relationships. A single 50 something woman who has been single for multiple years is going to be a far less pleasant experience.
There are a lot of downsides to dating a 50 something woman, even one with adult children when you are 55+.

Being constantly in the early stages of mating interactions takes its emotional toll on both women and men.
When women don't secure commitment and are regularly experiencing failed relationships of less than 2 years in length or experience casual sex/situationship failure, it takes its emotional toll, which can lead to physical consequences too. If this continues over a 10-20 year or more period, there will be impact. Right now, you are seeing Millennial women born in the 1980s turning 40 without marriage or kids. These 40 year old Millennial women that are never married and childless have spent the last ~25 years in LTRs that didn't last and they successfully used birth control to prevent babies. That's more of a White, college educated Millennial woman thing.
When a woman does have more security from a decent long term relationship, she'll experience less anxiety and less depressive feelings. She will have a healthier emotional state and that can help her look better, even without plastic surgeries. Plastic surgeries will help as @jaymbrs is seeing. Most long term relationships do diminish in quality over time. @jaymbrs has no idea if his male clients with wives have happy marriages or it just looks that way to the outside world. It's likely a mixture of both. Married people are often good at hiding their problems from outsiders. These 50-60 year old married people have been together 20+ years in most cases. Longevity does not equal quality.
When men have early stage relationships that don't lead to committed relationships, the impact depends on what happens in those interactions. The impact is minimal for the "Chad" and "Tyrone" type top-tier men who are getting the sex from a lot of women. For the average to below average guys having many "one date, no sex, no second date" type dates from swipe apps when the women refuse their second date offers, that's going to take an emotional toll and lead to MGTOW/incel type behaviors.

If we are talking strictly casual sex with a plate or ONS, I have no idea why you would automatically axe out older women up to at least 50. Many women can still be very physically attractive in their 40s if they take care of themselves. They likely are fairly emotionally damaged if they are single in that age range. Just the reality of the situation. But again, if we aren't talking LTR, then it really doesn't matter.
Even for casual I find older women crazy and weird, just not worth it to me. They also usually want me to travel to them, and I prefer getting girls to my place.

My experience has been that older women are usually freakier in the sack and more open to doing just about anything you want to them or doing to you. So from that perspective it is a positive. Otherwise, they tend to carry a lot more emotional baggage that you will deal with even if it is just a casual relationship. So I get where you're coming from if you don't think it is worth it.
