My first ex that I was in a prolonged LTR/LDR with for 6 years randomly sent me an Amazon gift card to purchase a legit espresso machine yesterday(they aren't cheap). I said thank you, but I this is too much and she said that she still loves me/misses me and wishes I would move back. I still maintain some contact with her through snap/Instagram, but I haven't seen this girl in 3-4 years and she's currently dating or surviving in a relationship with some guy right now. The dude doesn't look bad and has a decent job, so it's not like she downgraded or anything.

This is why you never accept being any less than a girl's first choice.

I think some more details on this past relationship can be insightful for the folks on this forum. Who did the breaking up in this relationship? Why did you guys break up? Why exactly do you think you alpha-widowed her? Perhaps she's bored in that relationship and is looking to monkey branch to whomever she can.

Also take into account that this is the time of the year that most break ups happen. So maybe she is already in the process of dumping the guy, and is looking for the next branch.

I would imagine many that understand this game have a handful of exes that feel just like yours does Jake. I know I do. I wouldn't call them "alpha widows", thats kind of an egotistical term but I'd just say you made an impression on her and she hasn't found anybody else that compares.

But it goes to show you how shady women are. She probably just finished banging her boyfriend, then gets on Amazon and orders you an Espresso machine.

How confident are you that some other dude isn't making a similar post about your current girlfriend on a different forum?

Don't always be the one putting yourself out for her. Don't always be the one putting all the effort and work into the relationship. Let her, and expect her, to treat you as well as you treat her, and to improve the quality of your life.

That's the exact definition of an alpha widow lol

Broke up because we couldn't end a long distance relationship, she wanted to live near her family, I wanted to live somewhere else

Bang her. She wants the D.
Nahhhhh

I'm pretty confident this isn't happening, but if it did then I would break up with her lol

Wow, tells me all I need to know about you.
Dude I'm ugly AF, this is why I don't like the crying on OLD

Every woman has some dude from their past that they think about under the right circumstances. My advice is to not worry about it and don't think about it.

It's not "Alpha" widowhood. It's just the way chicks are. One I'm casually dating now had a long term relationship with a short balding dude with no ambition... If he were to call her and want to get back together, she would drop whatever she is doing and run to him.

I've had women reaching back out to me out of no where and without warning: I have had women where things were going great then all of the sudden, she's back with an old BF..... None of this sh1t makes any sense, so don't try to figure it out. The only thing you need to understand is that this has NOTHING to do with the man... nothing, it is all about what is happening in a chicks life at that emotional moment.

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.

Bro that espresso machine was 1300 dollars, so if my current gf did something like that to her ex….im gone especially with the I still love you part. This wasnt just a reach out.

Wow. I’m surprised that a chick would have any attraction (left) for that guy with zero on the Big Three Scale (height, hair, money/career).

My guess is that he had decent hair when they first started dating, so he is technically “grandfathered” in.

Sell it and buy a f0cking Xbox or something. Or keep it, maybe you like fancy coffee, I dont know.

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

I'd much rather have a La Pavoni espresso machine than an xbox.
Its cool. Im not one to judge. Some people I know would make a meme about this though.

"One day you are young and the next one you prefer a fancy cofee machine over an Xbox" or something along those lines.
