Very true... I was debating with a co-worker one day. He's a beta, a good guy, but beta none the less. He was speaking this machismo talk about older guys and younger women. He has a daughter.... He was talking about hurting the dudes who would be interested.
I told him: "Why is it a problem to you for your 18 year old daughter dating a guy in his 30s?" He responded with "Because what's wrong with the guy that he can't get women his own age?" I stated: "What makes that 20 year old guy a better fit for your daughter? He hasn't lived life, impressionable, reckless, etc. He hasn't had a chance to fvck his life up yet with drugs, and could get your daughter into them for example. Or be immature and reckless with drinking and driving and get her killed in an accident. Where an older guy might have already been there and done that, and it's not a possibility with him." It made him reconsider his position on that...
That's the burden of being a father with a daughter. You wont understand until you are there yourself. Your whole perspective on life might change. Its nature. There's a reason some societies put heavy emphasis on protecting their women. If it's good or bad, don't know. It's just a fact.
By the way , if my daughter is 18 ( while before we were talking about being underaged), she can do whatever she likes ,but yet I will say what I think is best. I am 26 years older than her and I love her to death, so my opinion matters. It's no different from her wanna do cocaine or gambling.
People thee days live at homeuntill they reach 25.in my country the average age to get married is 38. So it's highly questionable if an 18 y.o is an adult. Also, not all 18 y old are made equal. Context and personal development matters.
No matter how you phrase it, parents gonna parent. Glad that's the case.
Funny how the thread derailed from the risks of daygaming to whether its morally right or wrong to fexk underaged women.
