Just think. A worker pays somewhere between 10% - 37% of their taxes to the Feds. They pay another 15% or so for FICA, then another 4%-8% to the state for taxes on their labor. Let's not forget about an additional 6% of sales tax on nearly everything we buy. At min., people are paying 34% of their wages to the governments. In actuality, we're paying closer to 50% or more in taxes on our wages. I have tenants who pay very little for rent, food, medical, utilities, and such. They are all subsidized by the gov't through taxes. They can work, but they choose not to. It's disgusting. If a person needs help, then fine, but people live off the dole for decades and we all just pay it. There should be means based apportion with the requirement for work. As of now, there isn't.
