Lot of people doing acceptable video editing on youtube nowadays, where they can bring pictures up on the sceen during the video etc

anyone know if theres a video editing programme everyones using?

I dont believe that half of them are PC whizkids, so there must be something I dont know. I think I usedlightworks before, But i dont remember it being called that back then

I use Shotcut for most of what I do. There's also a program called Lightworks that is also pretty good. Both programs are free, and there are youtube tutorials on how to use them.

Adobe Premiere is also a very commonly video editing application used by photographers and video editors in the industry:

Yeah, but I don't think they run premiere pro over an ongoing stream. Premiere is usually used to edit videos AFTER they were made not during. During a livestream, I'd expect the computer to be running pretty hot from having Premiere, 4k recording, and a game or something running in the background. It's probably something much simpler.

I recommend Davinci Resolve. It's free, arguably has the best tools for color grading, and comes with Fusion for compositing where After Effects would normally be used. Some advanced features are paid, but it's still cheaper than an Adobe subscription.

doesnt need to get to technical, the most i want to do, is upload thumbnail pictures into the screen whilst Im talking. that kind of thing

a bit like when someone shows weight loss results and they bring up a little a thumbnail video of their body when then they first started, but they are still talking in the main part of the screen
