Just tested positive for CVID

So I felt like a I got hit by a truck halfway through my healthcare shift. It was awful. Went to my 2nd job and got tested there first thing in the morning. I did not want to risk spreading this to others. Took a half day just in case. Results came back positive. Spent the next 3 days in bed feeling like a horrible flu. I went 2.5 yrs on the front lines avoiding this thing. It was a source of pride for me. Now I feel like a loser lol.

The awesome news is that I used to be 191lbs and it was awfully difficult to get to my target goal of 185lbs. I tried everything. Well CVID did it within 3 days. I look great. I can see my abs. Im actually kinda happy about that. I dont know what ramifications on my job this will cause. This whole Omicron thing is a mess. Its depressing. I was going to make a trip overseas for vacation in 3 weeks but now i dont know.

Light exercise. Daily FT check in with the GF who’s also in healthcare. Minimal symptoms. Now I have Natural Immunity.

omicron isn't as deadly as the previous versions, but highly contagious which is what you'd want anyway since people don't want to get vaccinated, quicker hive immunity reached.

I've been sick for a week now. I don't know if it's covid though. I suspect it is due to not being able to smell or taste anything for a couple days now. When I first got sick, I felt weak, drunk, and sore. It'll pass, and I'll have a stronger immune system. No shots for me.

I got the flight rescheduled 3 weeks later, and applied the tickets. So it worked out. Yes, first time. Never + before. I do weekly testing for work as I’m non-vacc.

Now 12 friends and colleagues positive with symptoms in the last 5 days.
Ir’s inevitable, we’re all going to catch this one sooner or later.
Regardless of vax status, this milder variant and exposure will hopefully put Covid in our rear view mirror.

Over a million new cases in the US alone and that's way underreported due to lots of at home tests not getting reported...

Okay this is good to know. I didnt know the airlines policy for this. Hopefully my airline will let me apply the ticket to a later flight. When you travelled abroad did you find a testing site there when it was time to come back?

No testing 90 days after + test. Sort of a limited-time natural immunity.

Glad you’re better. However, this is not chicken pox. “Natural immunity” is short lived in coronaviruses.

This is a nice thought but it is simply untrue. Everyone will not be okay. The survivors agree with you. The 800,000 Americans who would disagree aren’t alive.
