Not physically no. But infidelity and betrayal are a violation of codes that both spouses are bound by in a marriage. Yep, this is Pinkett's way of asserting her own separate identity from Will Smith's. I don't even know what she's done professionally since Nutty Professor. She's always just been "Will Smith's wife."

I think this is actually an interesting case study on feminism, and how girls mature to young adulthood much faster than men, but are outpaced by men who grow into more fully developed adult maturity by middle age. Your ignoring the fact that these codes violate 1 key female biological trait. Once she knows your committed to her she no longer wants you. Its a hard truth. She cant tell you this but the clock at this point is ticking on you. Invest those years wisely and enjoy your turn.

Not the other way around with men. Will handled this poorly. He simped and cried. He could have had his cake and ate it too.

Once she knows she’s the best you can do and that you are unable to replace her she loses interest. That’s different from “commitment” in the social or biological sense. Women eventually will lose interest if they don’t feel a relationship is progressing to mate commitment.

Women have completely moved on from me once it was clear I would never ask her to be her boyfriend.
