Who cares if others or "not all people" think you are...........insert the _____ or too.......insert the _____ or not enough......insert the _____
All that matters is what you think of yourself!
Sometimes at work I get told "I am too nice" because I am laid back, polite and do a very thorough job when helping customers.
I do have a union job, so it is easy to slack off and not suffer the consequences. However, I was not raised that way and I have experience in the corporate world where you had to have a "proactive approach".
Sometimes this bothers me when my colleagues say this, but then I say to myself "Who cares what they think, it only matters what I think.
Do I think I am too nice? Honestly, no I do not. People who are too nice are afraid to say no and have no boundaries, which is not me. I treat others the way I like to be treated and never start stuff with people. However, if you push me, I will push back.
Let how you see yourself and not others; define who you are.
