Gaming in Waikiki

A couple days ago I decided to fly to Waikiki to check it out. I always wanted to go to Hawaii to experience the island/tropical life. I have gotten to experience a lot of the beauty o'ahu has to offer, but I haven't found much opportunity to be had here in terms of gaming.

A couple of things I've noticed are:

1. The locals are not interested in dating tourists. There is an abundance of tourists here and it seems there is no value for them to go out with a tourist from the mainland since there are so many of us here. Even if your from a foreign country you won't have much value as there are so many foreigners here as well.
2. Tourists that are here are usually here with family/friends/significant other, and so getting them to peel away from their group is a tall order. They also probably have a full itinerary of sight-seeing, as opposed to somewhere like Vegas where people go to party and do crazy stuff.
3. You rarely see girls out and about by them selves (except for locals who see you as low-value) . The one's that are alone and not a local are great to get a date with but they can be few and far between.

To be fair, I haven't checked out the clubs. Just the bar/lounges, beaches, and daytime/daygame venues. I'm still here for a couple of days but if anyone has tips or experiences feel free to share them with me!

Mainland U.S. women primarily go to Hawaii with their boyfriend, husband, or sugar daddy. The areas of Oahu outside of Honolulu, and the other Hawaiian islands are worse for that than Waikiki. Waikiki would probably be more singles conducive than anywhere on Kauai, Molokai, or the Big Island.

If you don't have a romantic partner to travel with you anywhere, you're often dependent upon traveling with a male friend. Good luck trying to get a male friend to go to Hawaii with you, which is at least a one week commitment. It's already difficult enough to find men to do a weekend trip to a place like Las Vegas or New Orleans. For women, it's more difficult to put together "Girls Trips", than boyfriend-girlfriend trips or husband-wife trips, but I think women are better at doing "Girls Trips" than men are at traveling with their male friends. I don't know how common it is for groups of women to go to Hawaii for a week.

You're right that there are more Asian women in Honolulu. Some men are passionate about East Asian/Polynesian women.

A lot of mass tourism destinations are like this. Next time, go to Peru or Ecuador.

Going to Las Vegas as a lone wolf single man looking to have sex is better than going to Waikiki looking to do the same.

Even sex aside, Vegas is one of the only “lone wolf friendly” destinations.

Vegas hotel/restaurant/bar/club staff always treated me very well despite being alone.* I can’t say that about other locations.

*This was pre-Cove. I have no idea what their customer service is like atm.

This is a good example of how hive-minded most women are. It's all about status within their little community and what other people might say.

In Ukraine, a lot of foreign guys go around claiming to be "here for work" rather than tourists. Somehow, traveling for pleasure makes you low status.

Story from my uncle's days as a young eligible bachelor. In the 70's he was at a Waikiki hotel, where his cross street neighbor's family was all there. They had to have 3, 4 or 5 young kids in the group. One of the neighbors say him down in the pool chatting up a cute gal and sent all the kids down telling him (and the hottie) "Daddy come on, Mom is tired of watching us and we want you to take us for Ice Cream!"

Meanwhile the neighbor lady was up on the balcony and smiled and waved.

She told me this story at my grandmother's funeral, and she died a few years later...still cracks me up....

I have to say the wait staff treated me really weirdly when I would ask for a table for one. Eventually I realized I should only eat at bars and non-fancy restaurants as those were the most judgement-free zones.

And I agree. Vegas is much better for the lone-wolf in America.

I definitely encourage you to check it out. Spend about a week there to get a feel for oahu. Rent a car for at least one day and drive around the island. It really is a beautiful place and I really enjoyed it, its just not a GREAT place for game, its just a pretty good place for game. However, I almost got laid once, and I managed to get at least 12 phone numbers and one additional date in the week that I was there while doing cold approach. I didn't really follow-up with a lot of the numbers I got, so maybe something would have changed there, but not likely.

I fully expect to go back at some point.
