I think it just shows more that we are in a Read Headline, React culture, as exampled by Pierce. Which shows that the bar for critical thinking has fallen drammatically. People don't sit and go "Hm...why is this company that has underwent so many lawsuits suddenly in the headline has having safe vaccines?" Or "Hospitals are known for turning people away that don't have insurance. Why now are they suddenly benevolent saints?" Or "5000 people out of a million is still pretty small. Sounds similar to the flu."
I'm pretty sure even CNN was shvtting on hospitals before 2020 when they were making reports of how bad healthcare was or how hospitals were refusing to accept uninsured ER recipients.
