I thought Florida was a southern state with allot of sunshine. Doesn't people have vitamin D there because of the sun? The ultra-violet rays of the sun don't kill off the virus? What happened to the natural remedies?
When it’s that hot, people tend to congregate indoors for air conditioning. ThereFore, the USA sunbelt states have their covid cases surge more in the summer months.

And yet they go out a lot more.

440 students in Palm Beach County forced to quarantine because of COVID two days after school starts
Let's see...50 schools, ~12 grades-per-school(K-12?), ~25 students per grade.....~15,000 student population. And, 131 "cases" (no severity level given). So, less than 1% (~0.87%) of the students are "cases". Next.

Notice how low statistics are used to discredit covid, but then when it comes to vaccine side-effects, where it's like .05% (source: reporting on Ontario side-effect reporting relative to doses) then its a big deal and detailed anecdotal stories are used to scare people off out of a fraction of a percentage of that lot. You can't have the cake and eat it too.

And...When they first started 'sensationalizing' the number of Covid-related deaths last year, they intentionally avoided demographics. I believe most of the deaths then, and even now, are older, immuno-compromised, people...not the average 'Joe' on the street.

Stop denying reality. When it’s hot as fvck in the USA people go inside for air conditioning. Infectious diseases spread much easier indoors.
I just got back from a very crowded downtown Dallas with people out with their annoying kids in 90 degree Texas weather. Please stop lying on the internet.

^^^ Guy can’t admit that people in the USA tend to stay indoors when there is extreme heat. Can’t make this stuff up.

I'm in the US in one of the hottest states. And you have the audacity to say what people are doing when I clearly see heavy traffic, restaurants filled to the brim, people walking on sidewalks, and literally enjoying their outdoor life. It is a good thing I do not listen to strangers on the internet, or I might have believed you!

In that case, I hope the Ft. Lauderdale beaches are empty when I get there.:)

This is called a strawman argument. Restaurants filled to the brim is great for their bottom line, but not so great for hospital ICUs that are jammed with Covid-19 patients.
Who gives a fvck about hospitals and covid patients. People have shvt to do.

You should, you’re on a Covid thread…
The statement was about the sentiments of people going out and enjoying their lives despite what is suppose to be a big deadly virus. It's apparently not that important if people don't mind socializing outdoors or indoors with people. I shouldn't have to explain such a simple concept.

This is another distortion. The problem in the USA is it is mostly the same people that don’t want to take the COVID-19 vaccines also don’t want to wear masks or social distance. Then these knuckleheads end up in the hospital taking up an ICU bed that could have gone to a trauma patient.

Notice how all the Red states, and "Red provinces" like Alberta start back peddling on their rhetoric or pausing their re-opening as cases skyrocked when initially they were all for re-opening because they are in power because of their conservative base, most of which who think the same way as you do about the virus.

There are also people who fiddle kids that do wear masks and social distance, but I'm not going to sit here and assume you are a pedophile.

People have different priorities in life. Some people care about space, others care about what Justin Bieber is doing every hour of the day. You're free to be a health freak, but don't expect others to follow suit. Even if this was a Resident Evil level zombie causing virus, people will still find a way to enjoy life. They don't need buzzkills like yourself to ruin what little life they have.

You are going to die eventually. Stop worrying about little stuff.
