I saw a video on barstool of a college guy who lined up four phones, side by side, all of which had Tinder open.
He would swipe across the four phones at once, so essentially it was like four different people swiping right on everything at the same time.
There was not one match made. In the comments two women expressed surprise at this statistic, and based on their emojis, it seemed to reduce this young man’s value in their eyes.
I’m beginning to view OLD as a form of social control. I get matches in the first few weeks of downloading, and some, but fewer dates, then the well seemingly dries up and I won’t get a match for weeks at a time.
I wonder if some of the initial matches are just fake profiles of employees that the companies use to bait us?
Why do I only get matches in the first few weeks after downloading? I have heard results can be slightly better with paid versions. Regardless, I bet the algorithm is cokc blocking me. I only swipe right on fit, attractive women.
OLD reminds me of the personal ads in the back of those free weekly newspapers back in the day (just before the 900 numbers and hooker ads). I don’t think anyone really had luck on those either.
I’d rather put myself on display IRL. It seems more natural to me.
I also realized that with remote work, delivery services like Amazon, etc, that it is possible to live and work without ever leaving the house.
I prefer fresh air and sunshine.
