Dear God I hate how stupid and useless people have become. Entire generations that complain all day about how the system doesn't work, and yet they bend over like good little sheep and open their asses to get fvcked.

Reminds me of South Park:

"But why would scott tenorman sell me his pubes for ten dollars?"
"Because, Retard, you're dumb enough to BUY his pubes for ten dollars"

People are so stupid these days that they'll go into six figures of debt to get stupid worthless degrees that have no marketable value. Not to mention college doesn't need to cost six figures. It'd be way cheaper if they just fired all the diversity department staff and cut gender studies programs entirely. Then they leave college and go to New York and think they can make it there on 35k a year while spending 25k on renting a closet and paying down student loans.

Young people are supposed to be broke, it's supposed to light a fire under their asses so they'll improve their lot in life, but nowadays they'd rather whine about how their bad decisions are bad for them.
Never a fan of starting any discussion by insulting as that closes people's minds to your argument making your points unheard, but gotta be honest your response is pretty much spot on.

The main problem with modern generations is the amount of freedom and choices they have left them in a constant state of whining and complaining.

Debt is probably one of the main factors people stay middle to middle-lower to lower networth brackets and that is due to the fact that most people are simply financially uneducated. Standarized education and society in general do not teach about finances, how money works or even what it is, or how to invest, or how to properly live below your means. Again back to a generation bombarded with all this "freedoms".

So yes, you are right. Millenials and future modern generations need to be slapped on the face. HARD.

It's not even that parents need to be "rich", but rather just "the millionaire next door" middle class (i.e., professional couple that simply saved money instead of blowing it). Whereas folks in the Silent Generation were pretty much guaranteed a job up until the early '80s, today's youth is looking at a nasty & brutish future ... unless they support Bernie. :D

Generation X did have somewhat of a raw deal. Most Gen X'ers did not have Boomer parents. Gen X is a comparatively smaller generation for 2 reasons. This is also when Gen X gets overlooked in a lot of generational discussions.

1. The women of prime fertile age during a good portion of X's birth years were the women born between 1935-1945, a smaller generation due to The Great Depression and World War II.

2. During a good portion of Gen X birth years, there were economic problems, such as the oil shocks of the early 1970s, and the stagflation/recession of the Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter years. This reduced birth rates.

Millennials started being born in the early 1980s, as the U.S. economy was in an upswing during the Reagan presidency and the Baby Boomer generation were the major generation of women of prime fertility. Millennials are a larger generation. Millennials got a worse deal than Gen X as I'll illustrate below.

Generation X had two timing advantages. A good portion of Gen X graduated into an economy in an expansionary phase during the mid to late 1990s. Also, college costs in the 1980s/1990s were lower than the college costs for Millennials in the 2000s/2010s.

Millennials are a lost generation, especially the first half of the generation born during the 1980s. Most of the first half of the Millennials graduated into the 2008-2012 time period when the economy was in bad shape or they were last in, first out layoffs in 2008.

Millennials have been walloped by 2008 and COVID recessions.

Right now, there are many 30 somethings languishing due to those two recessionary periods.

The success of most Millennials will depend upon the inheritances they get from Boomer parents.
Most Gen-Xers are the children of the Silent Generation. They might have been silent, but it was extraordinarily easy to have a stable job and get an attractive wife with a good attitude. Yes, the turbulent '70s was a strong dose of reality, but it didn't really have much of an effect - certainly not like the Great Depression & WW2 had on the Silent Gen.

The earlier part of Gen-Xers (like Yours Truly) went through the wrenching recession of the '90s, although certainly the Booming Late '90s was beautiful. Of course, a lot of Gen-Xers have last worked at a decent job in 2008.:mad::mad:

I never had rich parents, but I managed to get where I am by simply hard work and knowing what jobs pay the most. It is a good thing the hobby I love happened to be one of the best paying jobs out there to make someone middle class. I want to become a millionaire within ten years. Ambition does not care where you start. Some people are hungry for success, others rather it be served to them by a sugar momma, daddy, or the government.

You will get less than zero sympathy or empathy from anyone in the first half of the Millennial generation over the early 1990s recession since the Millennials' recession (the late 2000s/early 2010s recession) was far worse. No cohort was more affected by 2008 than the Millennials.

Most people your age managed to get a decent job position and benefits despite being low skilled in terms of technical skills and degrees.
That has nothing to do with boomers, per se, only being born at the right place and the right time.

Blaming boomers is easy but incorrect.

Boomers came along to wide the wave of hugely expanding debt, spending, economic expansion, etc.

Gen x'ers got some of the tail end, millennials are like Charlie Brown who got a rock.

Being born at the right time and place accounts for far more than most would care to admit.

Agree, being born at the right time in the right place allowed western boomers to get great salaries and decent jobs despite being low skilled and lacking proper preparation or ability to produce according to their gains.

What do you mean, exactly, about the phrase in bold?

I mean that low skilled people managed to get salaries capable to feed a family and buy a house while many high skilled millennials are now picking up the phone and making copies 8 hours daily for few quids while such boomer reminds them how lucky they are to be hired from him.

The millennial will get his chance to run things. You pay your dues, you put in the work, you get ahead. Assuming entitlement doesn't get you anywhere.

Of course, once you have thousands of dollars of debt on your head the same moment you're born is surely not a problem...even less if there are two oldies for any of you that need welfare and healthcare while providing nothing.

Of course "hard work and obeying the rules always pay", as long as the average citizen believes that bullsh1t, the circus can go on and the ponzi is not gonna stop...at least for now.

There are no guarantees in life. This forum advocates putting in the work to transform yourself into someone who is attractive to women. It's going to work better for some guys than others. It's no different in life, and succeeding and providing for yourself. You have to put in the work. You may or may not get to where you want to be (same with women), but you'll be better off than where you were. What's the alternative, putting your hand out?

I'm not concerned about women as much as many other users here, I'm in my late 30s so I guess you know what I mean.

I'm talking about personal independance and sovereignity, it cant be accepted that just cause you're late at the party you are left with leftovers and the bill for those who ate before you and are now puking on the sofa.

Millennials got screwed up twice, from the faimly that didnt give them useful tools to deal with life and from oldies who fvcked up the economy and the law....guys in particular.

I agree decisions have been made, and continue to be made, that have put society in a downward spiral. And people are deeply divided as to what those decisions are.
But there are a lot of people who have lived during hard times, and these times are not as hard as many.
You either stand up and deal with what you have to survive and make it better, or you play the victim and collapse.

Boomers are the ultimate pity party. They were raised not knowing how to care for themselves...frankly they don't give a damn about their own health and are clogging up the nursing homes, physical therapy centers and hospitals (as COVID patients requiring ventilators) unsurprisingly. Congrats on voting the same way over and FKNG over and expecting a different result. Now you've got it, absolute destruction of society, because you don't want to go down in flames alone. Guess who the majority of brainwashed-by-MSM sheeple are? White boomers. Check, Roger. I'm done hearing about your gripes over arthritis, medicaid, etc. Instead they want to deflect and talk shyt about "millennials". LOL OK. My military was a whole lot more lit than your golden girls army days. You want the young to live better than you but whine and b!tch when they start to. Suck a big fat d!ck.

Um yeah, of course the older people are going to be in the hospitals and nursing homes. Your turn will come.
And this thread is not about boomers complaining about millenials, it's the other way around.

As a boomer myself, I don't care for your sentiment. Many of the people I care about are boomers.
I see no evidence that subsequent generations are taking things higher.
Humans are sinful creatures, and each generation makes its mistakes.
