Do men care about emotional intimacy? Or is it something made up by Disney and the West to make more money for the powers that be?

I know women who are from the East part of Europe, and they say in the East there is no such thing as "emotional intimacy". A man doesn't have time to reveal or display his emotions to a woman since he has to work hard to survive. Nothing is given. And if a man is "depressed" because he can't find a woman, it's because he has too much time on his hands.

Yet in the West, they say a man should reveal his emotions to a woman, he should "connect" with her to try to develop a lifelong bond. If he is "depressed" it is because he cannot physically and emotionally connect with a girl.

Last I checked the sky is blue everywhere.

Thoughts?

I have been in LTRs with a girl from Poland and one from Bosnia. They liked me being a stoic, not talked about my "feelings" at any point.
They didnt care if i "connected" with them emotionally. As long as i was there and connected with them physically, everything was fine.
They want you to be their unmoveable rock.

I dont believe its just Hollywood that does the damage, as they watch the same crap as we do in the west.
Though, what comes out of Hollywood for the last years is mostly unbearable.

Its a war against masculinity on all fronts in the western society. The powers in charge of our society want to kill masculinity. Independent, masculine men are the only thing in their way to total power. Women and soyboys will not stand in their way to this worldwide socialist utopia.

A Muslim girl from Bosnia? How'd you do that? I went to Sarajevo one time and it seemed very conservative.

Or are you talking about a Serb from Srpska?

Yes, she was Muslim. She was studying medicine in Vienna. One of the best LTR material i ever had, conservative only where it was important (taste for men, family etc.).

But yes.... if you are in Bosnia as a stranger, its a different world and one will hardly get any game going.

I remember going into a medical lab to get a Covid test. The girls that worked there were so sexy. American girls have NOTHING on them. I don't care how many pictures of their butt they have on Instagram lol

If you want to talk, talk to your friends. If you want a girl to like you, listen to her, ask questions, and act like you are on the edge of your seat.

Emotional Intimacy, the Spark, Romantic Connection, are all bull shvt made up by Disney and Hollywood to exploit women. If you hear a woman throwing out these terms then run for the hills because she is immature af and selfish. I know it sounds harmless and cute when a girl tells you this, but this is actually the worst thing a girl can ever tell you. Ask yourself this, does the spark help raise kids together? Does the spark help pay the bills/put food in the table?

I can't speak on women from Eastern Europe, but I can definitively say that yes, men care about emotional intimacy. I am sure a lot of people are going to show up in this thread and act like hard@sses and say they don't and it's all bullsh1t. Whatever.

The problem isn't whether or not men crave emotional intimacy. The problem is that revealing this to a woman exposes the man. Many women, especially in early stage dating, are going to see this as weakness in the man. Being a completely open book eliminates all mystery as well - which is important in the early stages of dating.

I think the trick to it is that generally speaking keeping your feelings guarded is prudent, but with the right woman, and at the right time, showing some emotional intimacy not only can have a very powerful effect on the woman since you have not done so often, but it can enrich your connection with that woman.

It seems to me that many folks here have a definition of a Don Juan that is a man who seeks physical intimacy with women while avoiding emotional intimacy at all costs. A “Charlie Sheen” character if you will.

I’m listening to “Way of the Superior Man” again. I’m also in therapy, and in the beginning stages of an exclusive relationship. I’ve been asking myself... What is my mission? What is my purpose? I’ve recently realized that I want personal and spiritual growth. I want to be more free from the self limiting beliefs that were programmed into my brain since childhood; beliefs which prevent me from being the best version of myself.

While it might not go over well in this forum, I’m beginning to believe that emotional intimacy in relationship can be an excellent vehicle for me to pursue my mission. I’m also beginning to believe that there are some things that can only be worked through in intimate relationship. If I’m not willing to invest and be willing to experience pain, I’m not going to grow to my full potential

They hide behind their imaginary "innocence" any time that it can benefit them

I’d say men care TOO much about emotional intimacy. That said, there’s nothing wrong with having emotions,it only makes you human. The problem comes in when you let those emotions control your actions. When you let them override reason and practicality.

Don't always be the one putting yourself out for her. Don't always be the one putting all the effort and work into the relationship. Let her, and expect her, to treat you as well as you treat her, and to improve the quality of your life.

This.
I think it’d be a shame to go through life without having that with at least one woman.

Do men care about emotional intimacy?
Yes.
But it needs to be defined properly
I know women who are from the East part of Europe, and they say in the East there is no such thing as "emotional intimacy". A man doesn't have time to reveal or display his emotions to a woman since he has to work hard to survive.
That isn't emotional intimacy. That is just emotionally feminine as it was redefined by feminism as emotional intimacy. We have to stop letting the enemy define the terms.

Real emotional intimacy is just having a strong emotional bond with your partner. It is the "old" definition of Love (choice based, not emotion based),...as opposed to the modern definition of Love which is just a bunch of stupid vacuous Disney emotionalism.
