Is it me or are most men in their 30s and 40s overweight?

I'm in NJ and I suppose it's the same way in many other states.

Men don't seem to care about their appearance in this country. It seems like your average American male these days is balding, 5'9ish, 15 to 30 lbs overweight and dresses like a bum (jogging pants, hoodies, etc.)

I'm no strikingly handsome GQ model who won the genetic lottery, but I'm tallish (5.11.5"), 195 (fit) with a full head of hair.

I feel better looking than 75% of men 35 and up just because I'm fit and not going bald...lol

What's wrong with these guys? Don't they care about what they look like? It blows my mind!

This is the type of posting that I'd expect to see from a female on loveshack.

What's the purpose of venting on how other men present themselves?

Seriously.
At least it beats the outrage porn and celebrity gossip you otherwise get here.

Low T, Far left, Incel, Blue Pilled, male feminist, too much video gaming, etc. Take your pick.

Especially in America, it's accepted to be obese and both males and females are becoming lazy and content with themselves in this way.

Sad

My guess is that it has much less to do with "metabolism" or genetics, but the simple fact that too many people develop lifestyles that are too hard to maintain with too much stress, and eventually their poor eating and sleeping habits catch up with them.

More pvssy for those of us who aren't fat or lazy.

Honestly the problem isn't even the fact that they look like crap, it's the fact that they're letting themselves go and ruining their future health. The biggest killer of people is just being sedentary. These guys will pay for their bad choices as soon as their 50s with diabetes and heart disease.

Also, depends on where you are in the US. The pacific northwest might be full of purple haired feminists and beta manginas, but the incidence of obesity in this area is very low compared to the midwest.

Going bald is not something that you can control, if you lost that genetic lottery then you might as well deal with it instead of spending a ton of cash in pursuit of vanity.

But... once you let yourself go then I suppose you don't care about the fact that you're a slob. It's not like you're going to amount to anything once you get that far.

Because they’re in an LTR & Blue pilled. I was that way. I look a pic of myself from 2017 & cringe. Bloated. Messy hair. Scraggly & unkempt. Bad skin. Meh clothes. Woke up real quick when my girl stopped having s-x with me because I was ‘ugly’. They just haven’t had their epiphany yet. I won’t make that mistake again.

Well, if you are going bald, you have to shave your head completely or get a hair transplant.

I heard Vermont is a very fit state.

At 31, doing everything I can now to look good at 40.
I truly believe if you are a man who takes care of himself that 40 is your prime. 40 years old, making good money and still a ripped body? Come on man, it doesn’t get better.

Or you can go the other way, get fat, sloppy and lazy and then 40 is miserable.

Everything from 25-50 is fair game as far as dating, you should be making really good money with nearly 20 years experience in your field and should have wisdom from life experience.

So many men (and women) think men are at their peak in their 20s...that's only really true for the physical aspect. People just assume that they will look like **** in their 40s by default, but the reality is that they simply let themselves go.

I’m also in NJ and have noticed this as well. Guys and girls don’t really take good care of their appearance these days, especially during Covid. It works in my favor though because women flock to a well dressed man. I have no competition.

If I’m not mistaken physique competitors don’t even hit their prime till mid 30s so I don’t even think that’s true about physical prime. Perhaps endurance wise, but you can definitely get super ripped mid 30s - early 40s and maintain it all the way through to 50s.

People just lazy man.. it takes an hour a day, 5 days a week. One frikkin’ hour. People just don’t wanna work out, I don’t get it.

Yeah man. I’d still say the nutrition is the biggest culprit though. Have you seen how most Americans eat/drink? It’s insane. Gets them in a huge surplus and then you get the huge belly and man boobs.

Discipline man, if you have just a little bit of it you’re already aeons ahead of most men.

You essentially upped your VALUE in her eyes by showing her that, if she wants you, she has to at times do things that you like to do. You are SOMETHING after all. You are NOT FREE. If she wants to hang with you, it's going to cost her something — time, effort, money.
