Pornography is arguably harmful from a practical standpoint also. There have been studies about how all the quick dopamine hits can mess up your ability to be aroused by a single woman or without getting freaky, it can be very harmful to relationships.
You can get quick dopamine hits from other sources though? I would disqualify relationships as an issue because the video is portraying a guy that's not meeting women or getting laid in the first place. These cases you can see porn is some type of escape to cope with not having a woman. If you are in a relationship and look at porn then I wouldn't see looking at that as valid. In fact, it could be a type of coveting because you already have something and should not want more. These dynamics don't exist if there is no woman and you are on a deserted island and you are by yourself.
Being aroused by a single woman is not really helpful unless you are able to act on it, in terms of socializing, flirting, approaching ,etc.... If arousal means you just memorize a woman to fap on her when you get home, then that doesn't really mean anything. The only thing that fixes a cognitive dissonance of being aroused and not acting or being able to act in a social way is not to be aroused in the first place.

Simply fapping outside of porn is less harmful IMO, but my main issue with it is that it's a waste of time. It's not productive. You see guys talk about fapping something like 10 times a day or more.
I don't know fapping that frequently. But I digress, this video seems to be intended for young adults that have the energy of youth to go out there and make it happen. Most people here may be in the younger category, and it's unlikely that someone over 40 y/o, my age or older is going to really fap 10 times a day still. The libido isn't high enough to support that.
So you feel people's youth are being wasted because of technology? Do you see a different set of rules for youthful people that have potential, and others who are washed up?

As for religion, I think most behavior that is advocated by Christianity have practical reasons behind it. It's not just arbitrarily "Don't do this because you might have fun". I can't speak for other religions because I'm not as familiar with them.
It's arbitrary because understanding a command or not is not a prerequisite to obedience. Everybody is going to apply things in a different way. People's definition of porn is going to be different. To someone, porn may mean hardcore pornography with all sorts of deviant acts. To others, it may be looking at a woman in a bikini running on a beach, escort ads, or provocative poses, or fapping instructions from MILFS/GILFS/daughters, etc.... Fapping is going to be different to different people. Some may be 10 times a day, others may be once per other day or once a week or once in a while. Practicality is going to be VARIABLE, depending on how its applied. Religion (ie. fundamentalist Christianity) is going to be ABSOLUTE, that if you do it ONCE, you are in TROUBLE, and you have to solve it by seeking forgiveness, because then you've added a sin to your soul that could send you to hell or miss the rapture. There is no discretion where you can, as an adult, gauge or limit the practical effects, because lust is wrong in principle, whether you look at porn, or imagine it, or what you do. The only solution in such cases is to have deliverance whereby the offending behaviour is solved by the desire *poof* going away for good.
