While I have my share of empathy for others as well, in this case, I offer none.

1. He made a commitment and broke that commitment.
He's yet to acknowledge accountability for his behavior.
2. He gave his current date a last minute ditch.
He's yet to (borrowing a phrase above) "empathize" on how his actions may affect upon another person.

If the OP's age was listed at maybe less than 18 years old, I might cut him some slack, or... If the OP was a woman, I'd just roll my eyes and think to myself "not surprising female behavior." ---- but the OP is neither.

Instead of the OP having (here's that word again) "empathy" for the date he ditched or applying a little introspection and evolving, he came here to vent.
Again, I can be a compassionate person in some cases, but the OP needs to look at his own behavior first - before displaying his 'victim card' or acting accusatory toward his missed date. ----- I offer no coddling for the OP.

me personally I like the yellow and orange ones because they are more of a challenge , and I never really saw any difference between a green and a yellow for example long term
