I believe it's "THE LOVE" of money is the root of all evil.Has anyone else noticed that the people that are the most ostentatious, also happen to be the least trustworthy?
Solid response.Money is a construct of our own volition, we introduced the concept of currency, yet currency has evolved, but many of the archaic laws surrounding currency, particularly cryptocurrency, has not.
Currency has unquestionably created a two tier Justice System.
However, to say currency rules over us or is a reason to do something, it's a construct of our own creation, it's not the reason, in fact without us perpetuating currency, it would not exist.
It seems to me, currency has come to represent time and many people who do crime, usually do it because they don't want to put the time in to get legal currency. Time is a point of contention, but currency is just time manifested.
Fair play.I believe it's "THE LOVE" of money is the root of all evil.
Exactly. It’s a person putting the pursuit of it and it’s importance above all else. Many other aspects of life hold more value, but if a person’s perception is that far off track they will miss those opportunities …I believe it's "THE LOVE" of money is the root of all evil.
Greed is a concept of relativity/context... In order to even establish what greed is, we first have to identify what is not greedy, which means we need a leader or somebody willing to define that.Solid response.
My reasoning for it was more simple. Greed.
What I'm wondering is, why are some people more greedy than others - is it inherited?
The break-down of greedy people is evenly spit between the poor and rich, from my experience.
Maybe this is why it was in the bible, thousands of years ago?
Agree. Money is just a tool, as I view it.I believe it's "THE LOVE" of money is the root of all evil.
What the fvck is this? LolGreed is a concept of relativity/context... In order to even establish what greed is, we first have to identify what is not greedy, which means we need a leader or somebody willing to define that.
Like a kid who scrapes his knee for a dollar, while a millionaire does the same thing, it seems greed is established by what the person already has, but if the guy scrapes his knee a million times, of course he will be better at it than the kid of first time.
Greed is allowed to exist through a set of skills that the person has developed and who are we to monetize that development? Capitalism says our work is what we can justify its price as, so if somebody undervalued their work and I over valued mine, a disparity begins to crop up... But is that disparity greed?
I don't believe in greed myself, I do believe some business models are vastly superior to others and those superior business models offer the highest price for the most skilled, so now were talking about a potential exponential advantage through resource and intelligence.
This is human nature, not greed.
I met a guy a few years ago on the job that was very outgoing. This was the first time we ever spoke. He probably asked me what I did for fun or something like that, but that was just because he was hoping I would do the same!Agree. Money is just a tool, as I view it.
Another Bible verse is Proverbs 20:13: "Love not sleep, lest you come to poverty; open your eyes, and you will have plenty of bread".
It's similar to the verse about money. Sleep is a necessary part of life, but like money, it can be abused.
Seneca wrote that around 2000 years ago.The founder of the universe, who assigned to us the laws of life, provided that we should live well, but not in luxury. Everything needed for our well-being is right before us, whereas what luxury requires is gathered by many miseries and anxieties. Let us use this gift of nature and count it among the greatest things.
Bible is very straightforwardI met a guy a few years ago on the job that was very outgoing. This was the first time we ever spoke. He probably asked me what I did for fun or something like that, but that was just because he was hoping I would do the same!
He proceeded to tell me that his passion was reading the bible and deciphering its meanings. He was very passionate about it. He showed me some verses and explained his interpretation of them. I was pretty blown away.
I keep meaning to start reading the bible like he did. Haven't yet.
You got that all wrong..Money is the Root of all Evil
