Well, you sound similar to every other woman I have known as it relates to this. No need to omit those facts, much better to own them than hide them. Those do not have any negative for you as it relates to this topic. Your good to go, or just good.

Think about it like a HUGE self-improvement plan. Everyone starts someplace.

Forgiveness is granted when we honestly WANT to improve. Those things you mention are past not future, no big deal. It is actually part of the whole point to have a way to move on and improve. Working full time is no sin, it is necessary and given respect when it is needed. If married and the man is capable and does work and can provide for the family that is the best model (for this group) and not to have the woman also working just to be rich. She instead will care for the husband, children, and family while at the same time have friendships with other women doing the same. If she is single and works it is understood that is a respected thing and much better than being lazy and asking help.

Yes. but it is taught not self-learned. The mechanism for the understanding is based on something different from red pill.

I am not a salesman for them. But I do know and understand them. You can hang out with them, just contact them and let them know. You are already wise and smart so can watch for stuff you think is goofy. There is NO punishment for anything you did in the past. If you ever joined with them, and then did stuff that they think is not cool they might through you out. Same as any other social circle will if you go against what that community is. Nothing to lose to check it out. You also might like to hang out with the women, they for the most part get it also. Just like any other social circle if you are in already, there are plenty of men that are available or know who is. A person will get as good as they give; usually. feel free to pm me about it, or just ask anything in this thread, but it probably is outside the subject matter of the forum.

I met two 2 years ago. We went for juice at a coffee shop near here. Their time was valuable to me.

We talked about a pamplet they had with them.

I started crying. I remember the feeling but I don't remember exactly what we were talking about.

I backed out of meeting up with the women because I wanted to think.
I know one should never make a serious decision while emotional.
Because I'm female I knew about the power of being on an emotional rollercoaster and I was afraid to be vulnerable as I didn't know if I'd be manipulated.
Even though I trusted them and they had that wonderful glow, that inner light of people with purpose.
I had to delay.

In a way, I made the right decision because then I had the opportunity to try premarital sex one more time with this last ex and look what I got taught! (red pill)

And now I'm back full circle, quit smoking, still not drinking, now no coffee.

I'm pretty well ready.
Not exactly a good time to get into a new faith(coronavirus) but I've overcome obstacles before.
There's little things like it wouldn't exactly be appropriate to show up to work with a dress on and during work I must wear pants.

And about 100 other little things. Like I'm not done paying off debt yet and its irresponsible to start tithing when that money should be taking care of things I promised to pay.

I wish I could practice like a Latter Day Saints-'lite' until I can commit.

yes, taught to be dominant, leaders, head of household, and community leaders. Yes, I can, is taught. Confidence to the point of arrogance in some cases. Exactly what we sometimes teach in red pill as being attractive to women....

If you are in the Southeastern part of the PNW or Rocky Mountain states there is certainly a big part of the community that is Mormon. SO there is the advantage of a built in Social circle.

I liken it to the Greek Community at college. If you find the right group of people the letters on the sweatshirt make no difference. i would come at it from the perspective of that you like these people and being in that religion gives you access to more people like that.

So go and "rush" a few different churches...(Best analogy I could think of)

Once a student accepts a bid to a certain organization, the pledging process begins. This can range from a couple of weeks to an entire semester. During this time the pledges get to know the members of the organization, as well as those joining with them, and the organization’s traditions, values, history, etc. At the end of the pledge period, the new members are officially initiated into the chapter. Different organizations have a variety of initiation traditions, which are usually kept secret.

The other way to audition religions might be to take a basic introductory night/remote class in religions from the local/state college or Junior college. Not sure if any of these deal with the downsides of each belief though.


I've met some real nice Mormons in my life. They were really nice because they didn't try to convert me. If you feel pressured to convert and do a wholesale change of your life, that would be a red flag to me.

I would advise against using religion as a means to find potential mates. Religion is about settling our relationship with God and dealing with the problem of sin. God, being perfectly just, cannot overlook sin, as this would be against his very nature.

Anyone who is familiar with scripture knows that Mormonism, JW, and many others are cults and extremely dangerous as their modus operandi is to hide truth behind friendly smiles and a feeling of family (unless and until to go against their rules).

I'm all for pursuing God, but dead-set against using a religious organization as a place to gain a sense of belonging. Read the gospel of John to find out who Jesus really is and ask God to reveal himself... "And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart."

Religion should be a means to one end only: To settle our accounts with God and avoid his judgment. The bible calls this obtaining "peace with God". Unless we familiarize ourselves with scripture, we are susceptible to all kinds of deceptions that feel good but have nothing to do with God.

I don't think the people of any particular religious group is better than people in general, there's just varying degrees of motive to be good at hiding wrongdoings. I suspect there's a lot of bad things happening behind closed doors that never gets out in such communities. Many people who break out of such communities do so exactly because of that.

I'm not religious in any sense, but if I were then I agree with you. It's about the relationship to God, the belonging to a community is secondary. It does not seem to me that OP is seeking a religious community for much other than personal gain unrelated to actually practicing that religion. That to me feels deceptive.

I only wish there were communities that practiced selfcare and selfrespect; regularly served and cared for the less fortunate and suffering all while not participating in substance abuse.

I'm at a despairing loss where to find this if I don't investigate world religions, one by one.
