People often show their credulity and incredulity depending on what makes them feel good or correct. Watch the confirmation bias run rampant in the coming weeks on both sides. Of course both sides might be correct (or incorrect), but most people can't seem to hold competing thoughts in their head.

Yes, I also think both sides have a point, and that should be okay. But people pick one side or the other and they don't want to be wrong.

I don't think the virus itself is political, it exists. But people have made it political, and are using it as a political weapon, unfortunately. The fact that it's an election year only amps everything up.

But none of us know of anyone that's got COVID19....

I know of a couple people who have had it. They both recovered, but one was hospitalized and on oxygen for a few days.

I think the virus is dangerous, but of course the media sensationalizes everything. I've been practicing social distancing, but I'm not convinced this forced lockdown was the correct thing to do.

They can get it from the 1%. Too much people work hard and end up having to choose between rent and groceries. The tax base had eroded if more people are working poor. Are you asymptomatic, experience mild symptoms, or you just didn't catch the virus yet? Different people, from all walks of life, including children, very healthy marathon runners at a young age, all across the board are dying horribly from this virus. Sure, lots of people are asymptomatic or have few symptoms but they can pass them to healthy people who can end up dying, that's almost akin to murder.

I believe the infection rate was reduced by taking measures. I just don’t believe it was achieved by closing Bed Bath & Beyond while keeping McDonals open.

I think washing your hands and disinfecting everything had more to do with it all.

Entirely possible. I've read this is the latest line from the CDC. But they have flip flopped several times in the last few months, so I am going to take what they say with a grain of salt. The most certain thing seems to be that we don't know everything about this disease. But people today want answers yesterday.

They didnt have Fox, BBC,SKY etc during the spanish flu but everyone knew about it because everyone had been affected by it.
