It’s 2069. We have made technological leaps and we live in an almost completely autonomous world. We no longer go to stores, our favorite stores are on tablet like devices that connect to large warehouses and when you order a product from home it’s delivered in minutes via drone.

When you want to visit a friend you no longer drive. You get into your car and enter his coordinates and the car drives you there with no assistance from you. Ten year olds now can operate a car.

No more truck drivers, massive ship like trucks now drive themselves across the country with no driver inside. Planes operate the same with no pilot, they are now essentially large drones.
Most people no longer work as there is simply no need for a large work force. Just a few highly skilled people to service and improve the machines.
UPS, FedEx and the USPS have completely replaced their workforce with drones. You can now order a package from China and get it in 24 hours as it’s flown to you by a solar powered drone.

Let’s say out of a now 2069 population of 450,000,000 in the USA only 1/5th is needed in the workforce to repair/service and improve the machines who now serve us. We have also removed paper money and everyone has full access to their bank account at all times.
We have robots that can do most car repairs, you enter the dimensions of your lawn and your lawn mower cuts the grass with no human assistance.

What does this society look like? What do people do all day? How will an autonomous society effect the masses? What are the social classes like? How does this effect dating? What do we do with the extra 8 hours a day.
What about money? How do we make money? Does everyone just f*ck all day in a giant orgy to pass time? Do puzzles? Video games?

As we move closer to an automated society huge amounts of lower wage, lower education jobs will be erased.

For example, you go to Walmart these days and see maybe 2 cashiers and 15 self-checkout aisles. Or you go to McDonalds and order/pay at a kiosk instead of a cashier.

People are also beginning to buy groceries online with free delivery so supermarkets might not exist in 10 years - food will be warehoused at a central hub and delivered via online orders and automated delivery trucks.

Telephone customer service will go extinct with the baby boomers as the younger generations do everything online.

Municipal and maintenance jobs such as street cleaning, brush clearing, trash collection etc will be replaced with automated trucks.

The only jobs that will survive are:

* sales and marketing type jobs that require people skills
* creative jobs like graphic design
* vocational tech jobs like electricians, plumbers, HVAC, etc
* technician jobs cause somebody has to repair those robots when they break down.
* traditional jobs like doctors, lawyers, accountants
* highly skilled jobs like engineers, computer science etc

I believe automation is a necessary and logical next step as it will serve as a selecting pressure to curb the human population - the earth can barely sustain 8B humans, it'll be catastrophic if we ever reach 15B humans.

I agree with everything but the earth can’t sustain 8bn people. Apparently the entire earths population could fit in California or Texas and have room to move around.

Automation will curb human population and also discourage illegal immigration to the US. As lower wage, lower skilled jobs are eliminated and with the constant rise in the cost of living, there is simply no economic incentive to illegally cross into the US for work.

How will automation curb the human population?

As jobs become more scarce, and as the cost of living rises, people are economically discouraged from having kids. The birth rate will lag behind the death rate and thus population decline (like what's currently happening in Japan)

There are already places in the Chicago area where everything is ordered from a kiosk. Zero cashiers working ever. It’s coming.

I guess it would be a bit like Star Trek. I prefer the kiosks, so I do not have to deal with the cashiers. I find them annoying and useless. I do think the welfare state will continue to grow due to people that do not evolve and learn new skills. Plus, we have people with major medical conditions, autism, and other learning disabilities, a lot of lazy people who want sh it for free, etc. It's an on coming sh it storm if you ask me. The amount of young people who do not want to work, but want free everything is unyielding.

As for people multiplying, the dummies will continue to do so, but the smart one's, unless Mormon's, will not replicate as much. I do find it a bit funny (or nebulous) that females really never think of the cost of children, but want more. Yet, their answer is, we'll figure it out. Whereas the male is constantly worried about taking are of his kids/partner. If the gov't wants their constituents to have more kids, they need to make to more affordable to actually have kids. Honestly, I have no idea how a family of four or five survive these days. I go back and forth in my mind as to, yea, I'd like to have kids. However, I do not want to lower my standard of living (I'm a minimalist living in the North East). These f uckers are expensive. Yet, I do not know why.

Actually these will be replaced quickly too, they have machines being tested now that can more accurately diagnose a patient then the majority of doctors same goes for accountants and lawyers.

That is assuming we can stay together that long to achieve that. People will riot and you will see wars and civil wars. If china has taught us anything is you can't stop people from ****ing and having kids. No matter the "one child policy"

China got rid of the one child policy a while ago. They are facing an aging and declining population crisis.

Low birth rates kill the market. Japan has been on negative interest rates for decades. Declining population is declining economy.

Cel phone and gps directions have already started to shink our hypocampus in the brain, which is responsible for navigation. As technology removes one life challenge after another, we collectively devolve and become less mentally capable with each new generation. The human story will be like Flowers for Algernon.

Obviously as artificial intelligence becomes more prevalent you will see that used in the future. Green cars will become the norm and Terminators will fight our wars.

The problem with predicting the future is that it hasn't happened yet and therefor it is really difficult to predict. I have heard how the machines were going to replace us since I was a child, and with every new tech advancement I have seen more industries and jobs being created. As long as people can continue to adapt we should be fine. Also on the population thing, a book called the population bomb was written a few decades ago. In it the author was predicting the end of civilization and mass starvation, well the things he predicted haven't happened. This planet can hold a lot more people and on top of that new tech advancements would also increase the carrying capacity of the planet. and on top of that the population of the planet is set for a great collapse.

This is going to be difficult for the body politic as the central code of a lot of Americans - especially the conservatives - is the Calvinist "idle hands are the Devil's Workshop". The conservative working class has been able to eke out a quantum of solace by proclaiming that the distribution of the economy should only go the "hard workers" and not the "indolent". Unfortunately, the global market wage for their labor has collapsed, and MAGA is the result. These folks seem to think that it is better to work hard to produce something rather than have it be produced as easily as possible. Their whole worldview collapses when they are rendered useless. Trump is the catnip for these folks as, like the Music Man, he tells them what they want to hear.

As for how folks get money, like the song says, something's got to give". We are in the midst of doing the easy stuff - curtailing illegal immigration - but after that it gets hard. Tariffs are one of the reactions, but the inefficiencies introduced will cause its demise. Why should folks have $20 for a widget made in the USA in lieu of one that is made for $10 made in China, paid for my American BitCoin (i.e., Federal Reserve Notes)? And the onslaught of the Robot Economy will soon be able to have that part made in the USA for $8. What, are we going to tariff robots? Andrew Yang is on the proper way to handle this, as giving folks FREE STUFF diminishes the incentive for folks to work, thereby bringing balance to the labor-jobs equation. But the Calvinist attitude will have a place at the table, so I see a situation where folks are incentivized to work a certain amount part-time, but then heavily disincentivized to work more than that; of course, the economists will say the best thing is to just do Andrew Yang's schtick completely, and let the chips fall where they may.

I actually think that there are enough folks that are workaholics, or otherwise feel the need to work to "prove themselves" that they will work for what is essentially nothing - i.e., an economy of volunteers. Folks will be bored, and although Facebook and SoSuave are great time wasters :) Of course, men are naturally strivers and want to dominate other men, so I definitely see sports & video games as part of the mix. We will also see a lot more hobbyist craftsman who do things to show off their abilities. And this ties into the new schema of validation as the driver of human activity, as opposed to money.

As it relates to dating, the complete destruction of the need of men (i.e., male humans) to earn money to gain acceptance of females will follow. Of course, we are in the midst of this change now, hence the Rise of the Incel Generation. Dating & mating will resemble high school as the careful assessment of a man's potential will be disregarded. That said, I think there will be some women who will still value the role of a man in being a leader of the household, but this demand will be far lower than supply. The women who become hoars will do so not so much for the money, but for the validation; unfortunately, this will mean that incel-tier men will have hard time escortmaxing. Of course, the pot of gold for these men will be the development of the sex robot.

As long as people want more things, jobs will not become more scarce.

The more we automate, the cheaper things becone, however there will always be new inventions and people will always want more.

The result of automating the building of cars was not the reduction of jobs, but the production of MORE cars. And people still want more of them.

The formula repeats for laptops, ipads, phones, drones, etc,...
But will folks work hard for more & more luxury items? I think that at some point, time itself becomes the desired luxury to buy. I could continue to hustle and buy ... what a new Audi? How about I go minimalist and continue driving my beater VW?

Yes, kids are expensive. Is this why you see so many women wanting to Beta bux? If they're single and have kids they will ask you questions about your business and such. I notice on OLD it's easier to get replies from hot single moms and on dates they try and pry you about your income.

Nah, they're going after the $$$ because they had their fun, but now their maternal instinct is kicking in and NOW they want a family. Or, if they have the kiddos, they are having a hard time financially and need some support.

Yet on OLD they have pics taking vacations constantly with the kids, doing stuff, wearing nice clothes, etc. Posters on here say when you see OLD profiles that say "well traveled" to run the other way usually. I mean how do normal guys compete with them if we're not teachers who get summers off or actually have bills and don't blow our money on trips that cost thousands?

I wonder how these women get all this time off work to travel like that? I physically can't do that since I have to have my business open to make money. Granted in the summer when it's slow I'm taking a vacation but I just can't get up and take trips like that.

What's your opinion on dating a woman who's divorced and has kids and wants you to buy them things and such for their kids? Will you buy their kids stuff and help support them if you're not engaged to them?

That's what I was saying how post wall women, like late 30s early 40s with kids are easier to get dates from. Granted, it seems around here that's all that's on OLD is post wall with kids. Unless they're landwhales, most of the decent looking women are older with kids.

Another thing I noticed here in FL a lot of the post wall with kids for example if this chick is 39 she will have a preferred age range of 39 to 60 listed on her profile LOL. No brainer what they're looking for there.

Most people have 2 - 3 weeks paid time off. You are self employed, so there is no time off. Time off for you means loss of $$$. When you are an employee, it's the opposite. What you see on social media is usually only the good things in their lives, not the real stuff. Life has it's ups, downs, lefts rights. IDK how they travel. Some people have credit card rewards, travel with friends or solo travel. The last two ladies I dated solo traveled a lot and met up with friends when they went to where they went to.

I wouldn't buy them anything. If you are f ucking with single moms, be very careful. I dated them when I was younger. Easy puss, but that's the price of admission into their lives; they know this. I think, with one, 12+ years ago, we all went to the movies. I paid for mine, she paid for hers, her kid and her kid's friend. Not my offspring, not my problem. Don't EVER pay for another person's kid.

Single moms, generally, are looking for a provider and to be able to offer a family type lifestyle for their spawn. Unless you are willing to do this, move on.
