It has nothing to do with standards. This is just how women are. Women value others’ opinions as it shapes and informs their social status. Garnering validation from men sets her status higher among other women which then opens her up to higher status males. Enter: hypergamy.
Her seeking and looking for validation has nothing to do with the other men; it has to do with her own self and nothing but that. They are self interested creatures.
Women need to know they’re desired by a lot of men. Not just one man. Even if she catches the TOP alpha in the world; man of dreams, she would still care about being attractive to others.

It’s wrong based on what society has deemed acceptable morally — which has been put in place through the doctrine of Christianity. But biology trumps all and we all know how biology works. If you don’t.. go watch people in a bar. Or any social scene.
